Day one of course. Glad that description has only Phoenix and Apollo listed as the leads ;)

Interesting that they used 1080p renders, not even hiding that they're ready for the inevitable mobile version. Nobody can say they weren't warned when it comes out and is much cheaper than 3DS version.

Ugh... I love this series, but this does not look good.

I wish we got The Great Ace Attorney. That one looked awesome.

I'm in the same boat. The Great Ace Attorney looks so much more interesting. It's like how I wanted Yakuza Ishin more than Yakuza 5. (If this was Ace Attorney 0 and took place in the 80's, this would be a whole new story.)

I do think it looks good though.

Seance trials, eh? Sound like a terrible idea, but then again the series needs some shaking up, so they could be fun. A whole game centred around Kurain, though... could be tiring. At least it should mean plenty of Maya and Pearl.

I hope that examining the scenes is made a bit more involved than AA5. And more importantly, that the overarching story is greatly improved. AA5 had some awesome cases, but they didn't come together in the end in a satisfying way. The 'ultimate villain' was so, so bad.

At least AA5 established that the series could look amazing in 3D, though. That was a huge deal, I thought moving away from sprites could kill the series but they nailed it.

EDIT: Also, sidelining Athena? Yes please. Less Athena, more Trucy.
EDIT 2: Also... no more anime! The anime sequences were the worst.

Hell yeah, September is close enough to June. I really wish this series was big enough for it to warrant a physical release (and for Dai Gyakuten Saiban to be brought over), but oh well...

Athena has better voice acting than new English Phoenix Wright and Apollo.

Athena will rise again.
lmao at Athena getting replaced in this promo image:

Not 12 hours after the demo leaks, lmao

Glad to get an official trailer, though! Hopefully the extra month relative to AA5's JP release lets them iron out a few more typos this time.

hopefully the typos are less embarrassing this time around. AA5 3DS version had some laughably bad ones.

Same as most, prefer physical, but I'll take it like this since it's the only option.

Also, guess I was "half-right" about release date.

I'm going to guess November/December if we're lucky. Not expecting any sooner.

Although looking at GS5's release schedule.. That took 3 months to localize, so maybe early September?

The Great Ace Attorney was why i got into the AA games and finding out it wasnt going to get localised left me empty inside.

It has so much style and charm :/

Not actually that important
Well, will get it on iPAD then :(
And will buy a repro-cart for this, AA5 and hopefully TGAA+fan translation, years down the line

-_-

I so wish they'd work with the Limited Run Games folks...

Oh, awesome. The name is kinda Eh but who cares, glad to have more definitive news for the west.

Will buy day one at full price; because I need more Ace Attorney.

Why the fuck is AA not PAL5 for Europe anymore?
Because capcom are idiots that dont think that because of the uk being totally different and a small market want to put everyone in europe in the same package even when france, spain and italy have a huge anime fanbase much bigger than in the us proportinally speaking wise.

I just came from a spanish cinema and watched a japanese anime movie that wouldnt surprise me if it never releases in the us for example. But here it has an audience.

Or talking about ironic, the phoenix wright live action movie was also dubbed and release in Spain. There is an audience here. If capcom and companies like atlus want to go with the minimum fucking effort, they cant blame anyone if their games sell like crap here.

My small cousin is probably the biggest Ace Attorney fan there is and couldnt play aa5 nor this one. Thanks Capcom.

She might get her own filler case since she might stay behind to watch the office for Phoenix Wright.

Both Apollo Justice and Athena are staying behind while Phoenix is going to Khu'rain on his own (notice the split in the key visual, representing this). Athena might be playable at some point because of Blackquill.

I wouldn't be surprised if AA5 sold more on iOS than 3DS outside Japan. So Capcom not releasing the iOS version right away makes no sense to me.

I still need to play the trilogy. I've started it, got through the first few cases but then get busy playing something else. This time, after I complete Stella Glow, I'm going to start and finish the trilogy this time.

Seriously, am I foolish for believing there would be just enough time for Capcom to slip in Dai Gyakuten Saiban after this releases, if this does well? I'm talking about the 3DS's lifespan here. I don't want to give up on that game yet, there'd still be time right?

Anyway, it's a nice trailer although I'm pretty sure it's an exact copy of a Japanese one. AA6 just doesn't look very appealing to me, I'm not interested in the Kurain stuff. I'll still play it, but DGS looks like the fresher game.

Do they mention any DLC plan? The DLC AA5 case was really good.

Apparently, the same kind of leak that confirmed the English subtitle for this game from the Japanese demo files also pointed at there being some kind of "Turnabout Across Time" DLC case. We're certainly going to be getting that ourselves. We should also be seeing the DLC costumes, easily.

I wonder about the prologue/bonus non-canon DLC, though. It's not like the AA5 quiz show thing that was never brought over in terms of content, but I could almost see that being omitted.

You should try to finish the first one at least. Every case is better than the last, and the last two cases are amazing.

Those non-canon DLC are extra fanservice. (As they are more Phoenix vs. Edgeworth and Apollo vs. Klavier episodes.)

I wouldn't be surprised if Capcom ended up releasing them for a small price.

Now if only Capcom would release a port of Apollo Justice on 3DS... I don't want to buy that game used.

It's breaking my heart like Yakuza Kenzan all over again.
