Wait so this game is always online on android?
It has to be online when launching it (not just the first time), but it doesn't need to maintain a connection while you play.Wait so this game is always online on android?
I was in there several times and they just say "call me if you need a Mage."Another small tip. Don't miss this door in the castle, it's easy to miss:
Inside is an NPC who will give you your first spell.
Soooo, how awesome is this game? Pretty awesome? Same caliber as FF and DQ?
Preeetty gross. Those are PNGs, and the artifacts are all visible in-game. I don't think this game was made to be played on anything bigger than a 4" screen.
So guys how do you recover LP in this one? Sleeping at the inn doesn't work T.T And Therese sucks big time how do I switch characters.
You might have some LP-restoring potions in your storage room, later on you'll find a witch's cave where you can purchase them for 10,000 crown a pop. Otherwise, no, LP can't be recovered.
Unless the port changed things, I'm pretty sure the only way to ditch a character is for them to be LP killed. It's not a great system.
Regarding controller support:
I'm using a Horipad on ios and only the analog stick works. I can't use the buttons for anything which makes it pretty much pointless. Hopefully this gets patched up; I would have bought the Vita version (at twice the price), but the Vita does not exist.
Thanks! Yeah I just found out about the LP recovery potion. Therese has to die for the greater good now.
I somehow kept her alive all through Gerard's scenario. On the third generation now.
If a non-main character gets LP killed, do they get inherited somehow?
Also, I missed out on getting Gerard Fireball apparently, is there any other way to get the MC to learn magic?
Pick a mage a your MC?
I've managed to keep Therese alive for a while and she has become quite good with a bow. The only problem is that her LP is down to three because she kept dying in the beginning.I somehow kept her alive all through Gerard's scenario. On the third generation now.

Seeing the earlier version of the LP system is interesting. In later games you could switch out characters and recover LP at an inn.
This way is a bit more challenging, as LP is more precious, although it would be nice to be able to switch party members.
Yeah, I got quite a few good techs with her (Stunner made a lot of bosses trivial, and Haphazard Arrow was great for random mobs). Ended up with her having 3 LP at the end of that scenario.

Ok so it seems like not only LP but WP works differently here? The weapons seem to share WP when of the same type, so does it even make sense to equip someone with multiples of the same type?
Also is there a way to replenish WP? I've been spoiled by Romancing SaGa PS2.
EDIT: I guess this is the OT then?
If the price wasn't enough to put me off, this bullshit certainly is.
WP, as far as I can tell (or SP) is just a pool of points you have to use techs. You can refresh them at an inn.

Yeah, as far as I can tell all weapons use SP, and all magic uses MP. And this game doesn't tell you when you level up your SP and MP like the later games. I found that out after checking from battles. Just using your spells and techs will increase your maximum points. In later games like SaGa Frontier it always tells you when they increase, just like HP.Ah so there really isnt a point in equipping multiples of the same weapon type.
I need a manual lol.
Where's the storage room? The place with the scale?

I don't know what the benefit would be to equip multiples of the same type, unless it is a special weapon that has a unique property but I haven't come across any yet.
Yep, although I don't think there are any life point potions in there. There are a ton of balms and SP/MP potions though.
Wait.... there's always connected DRM, for a phone game?
Has this ever happened before?
I would say, there was one small error in the intro, but it seems pretty solid for the most part. There is a strange format of talking in the game though, whenever your character addresses other characters in the castle. Other than that, I haven't noticed much else.So there's been a few comments about bits of bad localization... how is it overall so far? Just minor things here and there, or pretty sloppy/buggy in general? I don't mind the $18 so much, but not for something slipshod...
First rpg in ages to get me hunched over scrutinizing my next move because some of these battles require strategy even early on.
The dopple chests don't actually drop anything, so just avoid them.I'm not sure if I should or even can take a doppelgänger out now.
Yep, SaGa games can be pretty challenging. All of a sudden, you might run into an enemy that just wipes you out.
almost every SE gameon Android requires a connection check.
(also, for a while, they outright refused to run on rooted systems!)
