Anyone have recommendations on stores/websites to check out for furniture?

Looking to get a sofa bed, mattress, dining table, side table, and coffee table.

I know IKEA is always an option, but I'm looking to expand my horizons a bit.

I might get the mattress from Amazon, but I'm uncertain about the other things.

I think I've had too much coffee today

Last day of internship means I've done nothing but drinking coffee today. Must've been about 7 cups now.

The Film Room Ep 14: Brock Osweiler's first seven starts

Another film breakdown from Battle Red Blog's Brett Kollman. If you appreciate good game film breakdown you will appreciate this, Texan/Brock fan or not

If you are a whiny, negative, hater bitch with nothing but "hot opinion takes" you wont.

If you have some money I suggest an Ashley Furnature if available

Aim for something non-flammable, ideally.

www.wayfair.com

Their stuff seems pretty well built considering a lot of it is DIY plus they have free shipping, no sales tax I think, and seems to be cheaper than IKEA.

Also seconding the vote on Ashley furniture but much of that can also be found online cheaper with free shipping and no sales tax. The exact couch they had in store for $1299 I got from Coleman Furniture for $750...free delivery and no sales tax.

Depending on your look you could always build or attempt to refurnish some old pieces.

One easy thing to do is get some lumber and a drawknife to remove the bark and use some laminate on it

Not saying that you need to go full wood cabin look but you can make some good pieces with some cheap resources.

Like something like this for example

Fox expressing his inner Ron Swanson

Also, they're not showing Warcraft here downtown at the nice theater (think Alamo Drafthouse). The idea of heading out to the Omega Cineplex with the riff raff sounds awful though once you've lived through assigned seating and well policed theaters.

I mean it depends on your look and budget but if you have the tools and the time set aside you can make some furniture pieces that will last and can save you money.

Go to Sam's or Costco for the mattresses.

Deal shopping is definitely good for furniture, as the markups are huge. But also you end up getting what you pay for. The cheaper the shorter it is going to last. Assemble yourself stuff especially is going to wear down quick under normal wear and tear. If you are looking for something long term, you have to spend money to get away from furniture which is just veneers glued on top of particle board. Also furniture salesman are the worst. If they think you don't know what you are talking about, they will tell you something is solid wood when it is not.

Why do you want to watch Warcraft when you could see The Nice Guys?

Why does that invalidate the comparison? You play less minutes and less games in college, so Lebron entering the league earlier than other stars means he has more miles on his legs at the same age.

Also, if those stats do take into account college play time it would be a completely fair comparison.

Cam has officially retired the dab as of today.

Seeing which dance old white people will be doing terribly in January is one of the real things to look for in the regular season opener.

Getting the mattress locally can sometimes be less of a hassle. A good store will take returns and help you out when necessary. Dropped a pretty good chunk of change on a mattress that felt nice in the store, but started dying within a month. Store took it back and let me get a different one.

Don't want more than a couple hours of downtime with a bad mattress. Gotta stay in the game.

Looks like Cam Newton is retiring the dab to absolutely no one's surprise considering the Broncos used it ironically to celebrate after they won the Super Bowl.

Eh, I'll wait for that to come out on Netflix or something. Not that excited to see it.

What an outburst that Dennis Green had with the media or the Bears being good again?

We've had plenty of pissed off post game pressers from coaches since then.

Dude in the past 5 years post game interviews with have become the tamest most pathetic shit ever. It's like coaches aren't allowed to get fired up anymore. They never get fired up at the press, or bitch at the team or anything. NFL is too concerned with media relations for it to happen.

Sure. If used in context of his performance overall. But this a straight up comparison of minutes played by NBA players who were 31, where the number of actual seasons played by each player varies. It's completely meaningless.

Average minutes per season/game would be a better metric.

Of course, then Wilt wins and all is right in the world.

NBA minutes are the hardest minutes in basketball, so him coming in straight from high school just makes their point even clearer - Bron has more mileage on him than any other superstar has had at this point in his career.

Wilt averaged over 48 minutes a game for a season while banging 10k women

Don't get a cheap mattress.

That's my only advice on furniture.

Seconded. If you're gonna spend money on anything, spend it on a mattress. Though you don't have to break the bank too badly, plenty of good mattresses around $500-$900. I got a Leesa mattress, which you've probably heard of if you've listened to any podcasts recently, and I have no complaints
