I'm hoping for what StaticJam said but I'm expecting Nozawa to ham it up with extra cheese. Can't wait to hear the 'buahaha' ridiculous evil laugh coming from another Goku.
The thing about Kid Trunks is just that he's a playful cocky kid. This is based on DBZ's Vegeta and his cocky 'better than thou' attitude. However, you have to remember that Vegeta's personality has greatly changed in Super to where he is acting more like a martial arts/samurai master(teaching cabba through techniques) and more like a caring father(looking out for Trunks every time he goes off somewhere). He's no longer saying cocky quips and thinking he is the best as often as he used to(In terms of his fight with Hit, he was just feeling himself after having back to back wins, equate it to a basketball player having won 3 games so far out of 7). He is instead becoming more solemn and observant. I can easily see Trunks growing out of this and maturing better(although not all the way to Future Trunks levels) simply based on how Vegeta has been acting more mature himself lately in DB Super. The pride will always be there but instead of acting like he's the best, he'll be more inclined to actually become better than the best, because that's what Vegeta would want him to do and that's what Bulma will encourage from him.
Compare and contrast this to Goku's family where Gohan, a boy with the most potential ever seen in the show, never wanted to fight because he was forced to, thus he eventually became a scholar. Then when stuff finally goes down on earth, he gets beat down and he starts saying he needs to train again. That's not how you should be doing it Gohan. It's like a boxer who's really out of shape trying to go back in the ring after years, when the entire boxing scene has already evolved. It's reactive thinking and he'll just be beat down yet again in the future unless he is doing some truly hardcore Goku-esque training, which I don't see him doing. Then let's look at Goten. We see a kid who has fighting potential but thinks it's all a game. His father doesn't train him(like Vegeta used to with Trunks) so he just does what he can to try and keep up with Kid Trunks(Who's confirmed stronger than him). His techniques and form are sloppy because he isn't learning anything through his battles. He looks like one of those kids who watches someone else fight and then tries to mimic the moves, not understanding why it isn't working as well for him. He doesn't seem like the scholar type even though Chi Chi tries to force it, so honestly I don't know where he'll end up when he grows up. On top of all this, the show makes Goku seem like a terrible father because he barely cares about Goten or what he's doing, yet he shows Gohan much more attention.
tl;dr Trunks will be more mature and a better fighter growing up because of Vegeta's character changes/development in Super. Goten, not so much.

Trunks is going to get fed up with Future Trunks and start to rebel like an edgy teenager.
I kind of want normal timeline trunks to stay a bit cocky tbqh.
Not vegeta im putting the world in litteral danger levels mind you.
But I think him having a bit of "nah fuck you im trunks prince all saiyans" in there as an adult would be fun.
Him just becoming the other trunks would be boring, and kind of wasting the entire idea of a timeline.

Present Trunks isn't that cocky. When he is, it's usually around people he can easily beat up. It's Gotenks who's cocky even when he's outmatched.

All caught up again, so I'm ready! Universe 6 Arc was alright. I liked Vegeta carrying most of the weight in the tournament, and seeing things get dialed back a little. I think my only gripes would be Majin Boo getting recruited but not doing anything, because that was a slot that could have been used for someone we haven't see fight in awhile. And Piccolo not getting to shine a little more. I really like Jacco though, enjoyed his contributions to the arc.

I bet Goten will be jealous of Trunks because Trunks will be paying more attention to Trunks than him now. Goten will fade away into irrelevancy (much to Nozawa's relief).

Then we'll get Future Goten from this timeline who turns out to actually be Black. He went crazy with jealousy because of Trunks showing preference to Trunks and Trunks having Mai. He killed all of the gods of destruction from all of the universes and is using the traveling cube to travel space and time t hunt his nemesis down on all timelines.
Turns out this is all just a revenge scheme.

I LOVE how she altered her voice when Goku first went SSJ3. Just that small change made the character come off soooooo different.
I'm expecting something similar for Black Goku.
Or she'll just remember how to do Tullece.

Yeah same thing happened in with Sean Schemmel. Was very cool when he deepend/changed his voice slightly for that transformation.

I don't get to watch it live either because one of my friends just got into the show because Future Trunks is his favorite character and he wants to watch the episodes together but he works while it airs.

Goku has lost the main fight of all 3 arcs of Super... though he was winning against Freeza.
But he's the one fought the main fight, he basically took over Vegeta.
Yeah I'm trying to reel my fiance back in since he loved Z but wasn't a fan of most of Super so far. Got him to watch the Trunks PV and he seems interested in checking it out.
I'm so happy there's no episode titles this time, it's so nice to go into something like this with no spoilers/having no idea of what's gonna happen. It's like back as a kid where I didn't really use the internet to look up Dragon Ball Z spoilers, so every new episode was new and unspoiled for me. (minus repeats anyway)

I didn't mind it as much in the Manga because Toyable made Buu failing into a gag/joke, in the anime it was basically just a "Well Buu's gone to sleep now and we can't wake him up once he gets like this, bummer."

Or its funny and him learning whilst being cocky builds character, and allows him to keep said character and evolve. It gives him flaws you know those things interesting characters have, flaws

Also as a side note, Nozawa said she hopes Super goes for 10 years, so I don't think she's bothered by having multiple roles in the show.
This is an extremely sad and awful realization.
But does she even have 10 years left ? Of working conditions I mean. We saw what happened with King Kai ...

She's 79 but still healthy and lively, I think she'll be good for awhile. I do wonder if Toei has any back ups just in case though.

Kid Trunks has shown interest in swords twice in Super, so he might end up with one eventually.
Which makes it doubly irritating that Toei is pussyfooting on the English dub.
