There's a porn booth at E3

Hahaha, that's great.

So, PSVR probably isn't going to be much of a liable option? I doubt Sony will let porn apps on the PS4, considering they don't even allow AO rated games.

I guess modders will get it to work on the PC eventually, but that probably will be a mixed bag right?

Tried it and it was awesome. There was 3 different scenes and the demo lasted about 3-4 minutes. What I thought was pretty cool was that there was a lady journalist in front of me and the guy running the booth asked her is she wanted the female perspective, so apparently you can either switch perspective, or there was VR porn geared to the ladies as well (the latter seems more likely).

There are porn apps on PC for VR porn already. No modding needed.

Good to see new Kratos in there unwinding a bit.

holy smokes

Yes, it's called porn

Your attempt to be sassy is a technical failure: VR porn probably needs a female perspective to be interesting to most of the girl audience (noted exceptions: Yara Greyjoy)

looks like they have it though

It's just a 180 degree video, so any of the headsets that has a way to play pre-recorded video can play it. It already works on Rift and Vive.

The very first scene they did, they recorded it from both a male and a female perspective. They haven't done another female POV video since then, though.

First person shooter, nice.

Good on Naughty America for making an option

VR aside, how well has Naughty America been competing with Brazzers? Like is this their big chance to overtake the market? I have no idea how important VR potentially could be for them.

Every single one of them look like they do not want their picture taken

They had their picture taken
LMAO, I was just thinking when looking at OP "Who brought a camera in here?"

VR porn is legit

you guys should try
I have a Rift and I don't even want to try it. It just seems so weird. Even this creature in a non-scary game gives me the heeby-jeebies when he walks too close, I don't want to know how vr porn would make me feel. Especially since I want to have people try it out, I'd just be thinking "they're now using my 'porn' headset."

Minor noteworthy bits
  • No gay option yet because no one on the staff is gay, and they didn't want to misrepresent that sexual experience.
  • Female POV has moaning sounds (male option doesn't), because early impressions said it felt a bit "rapey." They made a quick and positive change based on feedback.
  • Well aware of the immersion limitations due to POV's race. Actively looking into adding, as well as expanding various non-racial permutations.

Like it or not, this is the singularity of all entertainment media. Might as well get on board as soon as you can homebrew your PSVR.

Can't wait for the inevitable youtube video where someone's mom inadvertently sneaks up behind them and puts their hand on their shoulder, scarring them for life.

What will this do to us as a society. If this is truly as great as the hype say, are more people just gonna opt out of relationships all together?

I wonder if the sensation will be as fleeting as with regular porn. Right now I've heard impressions that says your brain is tricked into thinking its real even though you know its not. like a optical illusion. your eyes deceive you and you sense a bodily touch even though there is nothing there.
But once you've done in hundreds of time, will it be malleable and fleeting? will it ruin regular porn?

This is going to change a lot of things and as a culture!

LOL. Indeed.

Yep. Sounding pretty good. While I suppose you would have to hack PSVR to true VR porn, just having a good way to watch higher fidelity 3D SBS videos -- and, for that matter, plain old POV vids -- would be good enough for me.

They actually have a scene with a black male performer, it's just not one that they usually demo, and like the female POV scene, they've only done it once.

They've been running a distant second to Brazzers for a while, but the truth is that they both basically shoot the same women, just with different men, and Brazzers makes their set ups a little more ornate/ridiculous, while NA tends to keep their setups simple, which some people see as boring. That and Brazzers has basically all the money in porn to throw around.

Doubt it, at least not any time soon. VR porn is nifty, and adds another layer to the experience, but it in no way comes anywhere near close to duplicating, or replacing, relationships. Even if your goal is sex, and sex alone, I can't imagine VR porn coming anywhere near duplicating that either. It's like regular porn on steroids (if it weren't already), but in certain ways it's still lacking a lot too. I say all this as someone who thinks extremely positively about it.

I tried it out and interviewed the CIO and he answered plenty of my hard-hitting questions. https://youtu.be/-Q0ntG6tYm4

Best booth of E3.

"Gaze detection"

...What a time to be alive. God bless Naughty America. Hidden away in a forgotten corner of the LA Convention Center, but they are the true pioneers of VR tech.

This interview is nice, infinitely better than Eurogamer's "I feel so awkward" nonsense.

Well, things with more interactivity like VR porn games, no. The PS4 media player is going to read 360ª video files so there's that.

I want to know what makes this something to be praised but having booth babes and dancing girls in bikinis or stripping at e3 parties not ok?

It seems like a bit of a double standard. This booth has large life size imagery of nearly naked women and adult film available to view, but booths that advertise sexualized female characters are troublesome for so many.

It's just really bizarre placement when e3 seems to have tried to clean up their image over the last 10 years, then to allow this.

What new technologies are booth babes and strippers demonstrating?
The fact that it's demoing new technologies gives it much more of a right to be there then booth babes.

This booth had no interactive technology. These are just 3D videos with head tracking. While I wont disagree the point that most vr games so far have had very limited in interactivity, if this was some kind of adult game I could see why it was at e3. This is just out of place.

Porn is about sex, sexualising people is kind of the point. Likewise, there are games where that sort of character design can make sense because it's part of the game's overall design. What's bad is when games shoe-horn in sexualised character designs just for the sake of it when it doesn't fit the overall tone or design of the game. A serious, gritty action game that has male characters run around in thick full-body armour and female characters in skimpy catsuits, for example.

Pornhub? Its not that hard to get a 360 porn video

Not enough facepalms to show sad and desperate this image is. Your love life has to be non-existent to do some shit like this in public.

I'd say there's a few levels inbetween "public" and "place where VR porn is being demonstrated".

We don't know if Sony will openly allow web/local 360 video to interface with PSVR the same way a phone can.
