I paid good money for this Dynex!
I thought it was hilarious that this was just randomly at E3. There wasn't that much of a crowd when I passed by it, but maybe some people decided to be bold and check it out later on in the day. Thought this promo thing was amusing:

i'm surprised this thread is allowed on gaf. I thought this forum was puritanical when it came to sexual things

NA's VR content is pretty good imo, only tried it on Gear VR though so i'm curious if the pc oculus version is that much better

Higher res to fit the screen better, but I haven't heard that it looks better than the GearVR file. And from what I've heard in general, the one VR use that Gear is generally better than Vive/Rift is pure video content, where being untethered really helps with the immersion/experience.

And I've looked up the rules before, and you can talk about porn all you want, you just can't explicitly link to it or embed any pics that are more than "suggestive".

Are we at the stage of society where everyone acknowledges that porn is fine? This seems like a cool little thing and the fact that there's nothing shady going on here and everything's on the up and up in a pretty mainstream sense (as mainstream as E3 is, I guess) leads me to believe that but I don't really know.

Have you been on GAF for like a day? :p You can find hundreds of porn related threads here just fine. Just don't link direcly to it or post explicit images.

For anyone who tried it, can you explain why so many people are freaked out because the girl (or dude) looks like a giant? Is it because it's just badly shot? I don't remember people having these issues with "traditional" 360 videos in VR.

Jesus, that guy looked traumatized by having seen some porn.

Yes, i think it has to do with how they set up the stereoscopic images, but some videos the actors look very big (think like, their head is as big as your torso, even) and sometimes they look s abit too small.
They're getting better at it, and the proportions are more and more realistic now.

Also, when they get really close to the camera, things can get weird, in terms of scale, too, which is why they intentionally shoot "positions" in a different way, for VR.

Interesting. I guess there is a whole new language and set of rules to learn for porn directors. Exciting times.

That seems to have evolved to this, which seems to have been shown at the Porn VR Festival at Akihabara this month which was ceased since too many people came.

What did they think would happen with stimulation hooked up to people's genitals?

Is this app gonna be on the PSVR?
Seems a pretty hypocritical if the industry rejects AO rated content but embraces this.

I suppose it's because the display is attached to someone's face and they are wearing headphones. Seems like once they get into interactive accessories, that it gets less "appropriate" in public.
