Bernie doesn't seem to be the type to be bullshitting or playing political games. His career has peaked, he's old as fuck, he has no reason to support her other than truly believing she would do most of what he would do as president.

Interesting.

I appreciate what Bernie has done for the narrative on where the Democrats should be aiming for: forward to honest directions, not simply teetering at cliffs with the enemies of reason.

If that's played any role in getting the party to look ahead to issues, not just tribalistic party battles, I can dig it. We have a lot to do, and it is best that we become more collectively aware at the chaos and conflict so we can try and act within reason.

...Did anyone expect anything different?

Anyone convinced he'd endorse that dunce Jill Stein was fooling themselves.

Well, he didn't have to endorse her. Look at Jeb Bush on the republican side...

What? It's currently sitting at 3.7 on imdb.

You know how imdb works, right? Might as well call youtube comments legitimate film analysis. GB's a step away from certified fresh on RT.

Good on ya, Bern. Focus on the general and take down Drumpf.

Good stuff. He's forced the Democratic Party and Hillary has picked up on some of that.

Just hope the diehard supporters understand that it's critical to support Hillary now.

Where is the benefit in dragging quotes from random crazies onto this forum? If they wanted to join this conversation they would have active accounts.

Interesting.

It's almost like there's very little daylight between Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton.

I like how he brought out the same energy in his speech as always.. but for the first time, for Hillary. Good endorsement.

Nice speech.

I smirked about the fact that he went straight to Wall Street, but fair's fair, contextualising his endorsement in the very framework of his campaign makes an awful lot of sense; when it comes down to a choice of two, Clinton is ultimately the one that's going to head in the direction his campaign was promoting, and the speech served to underline that.

Shrug. I said I wouldn't vote for her, but I don't believe Jill Stein has a shot and I don't want Trump to win, so I'll pull the damn lever for the old bag. Bernie has been my captain since what, April last year? If he says the platform is moving in the right direction and he would like his supporters to join forces with Hillary's, then I will do it.

Damn, with all the volatility and distrust surrounding Hilary's campaign, he might have still had a chance at the convention.

Well, their views are actually pretty similar.
The main issue where their view differ is campaign finance.
Ironically this is potentially the most important issue, because who finances your campaign has traditionally had a bigger influence on political policy than what the candidate said before or what public opinion demanded.

It was a central point of Sanders' campaign that he is not funded by corporate interest. Now he is backing a candidate that has fuckloads of corporate funding.

I wonder if Clinton was able actually convince Sanders than she isn't just a corporate puppet, or if Sanders is just going with the lesser of two evils and supports Clinton because he thinks his endorsment plays an important role in defeating Trump.

Great speech by Bernie. Glad again I voted for him in Virginia. Will definitely vote for Hillary in November. Supreme Court is far too important this election.

What a lying piece of shit.
This whole time he lied to our faces.
At least with Clinton you knew that she was a fuck. Now we find out that Bernie was even worse- he was pretending to give a shit and now he's selling us all out.
What a complete fuck.
I'm done with this politics shit. Fuck this, let whatever happen in November happen. Who the fuck can ever trust anyone again after the 1 person who promised to actually give a shit about us just stabbed us int he back.

Never did I imagine that I be witness to the creation of a new political hope, a party that truly represented the people, by a person who lived those morals and values their entire life. And never did I imagine that same person, so steadfast in their beliefs, get bought and sold to destroy that movement in an instant...

Bernie is now a fucking paid Hillary shill!

What are they saying about Ghostbusters?

Good speech by Sanders. Even with that I have some friends on Facebook that are freaking out about this and talking about how he sold out to the establishment. Even had a couple people say they are voting for Trump just to watch this country "burn to the ground".

That was a great speech, wasn't it? I hope he campaigns aggressively for her in the swing states. Would be nice if she gets a big boost in the polls.

I respect him a lot more after this. Seems like he was only staying in to try and make the party more progressive, and now that it seems to be happening he's ready to fully get behind hillary to ensure the dems win.

My coworkers are both commenting on his endorsement, saying he looks like he sold out and that he's a buffoon. Are people really that incapable of not constantly being so black and white? It's annoying.

I was expecting him to stall until just before the convention, but I suppose being two weeks off isn't a bad guess. Knew it would happen eventually.

Thank you Bernie for pulling the Democratic platform further to the left.

Thank you Hillary for being an extremely strong and dedicated political servant for decades.

I'll be happily voting for Hillary. Not because she's "the lesser of two evils" or just to "defeat Donald Trump", but because she has a platform and voting record I wholeheartedly agree with, and because she's proven her ability to actually pass legislation I agree with.

Finally more optimistic about this November.
