I hoe these two months give them enough time for optimizing graphics/frame rates. It is a bit amusing though considering that date shenanigans during the big event.

Yup. I know this game is a special case because 10 years yadda yadda. But it didn't truly begin development until 2012/2013 right?

People just need to accept the fact that this gen has been plagued with delays. There's a reason there are less games being released this gen. Games cost more money and clearly need more time to cook in the oven before they are ready.

Going forward I truly hope many people do what Sony and MS did this E3. Only give a concrete date to games you are absolutely positive that will release this year. I'm glad they didn't give us anything on GoW, Detroit and Days gone. Just said "in development".

Well I won't play it before it's released on PC anyway. So the better the PS4/bone versions are the better the port will probably be so it suits me just fine. For those who want it on console I'd think as consumers they'd want the best possible product, so I agree with what you said.

Btw watching a Mankind Divided stream(store in UK leaked it) and the year seems to have helped.

I wholeheartedly agree. I gave up on game development about a year into my program just because I couldn't do it anymore personally. For this, I have a certain level of respect even for the development of Duke Nukem Forever lol. I just want me some FFXV!

That event was more than just a release day event. It was a big marketing push to get the game into the public eye. It also announced an anime, movie, and a mobile game. It sucks that it was delayed but I'm confident that they wouldn't have delayed it unless they really needed more time. Delays aren't inherently bad.
