To be fair, a Tezuka mash up game could be an Astro Boy game. That's exactly what Treasure's Astro Boy did, so brilliantly.

It's been a while since I played that one. How was it a mash-up game again? Did it feature stages or enemies from other Tezuka comics?

Back on-topic: this might turn out to be quite interesting indeed, unless it's mobile only...

holy shix!

Giorgio Moroder!? Him alone working for a game is big news.Hell, he might be a bigger 'get' then friggin Yamaoka and Grasshopper Manufacture (sorry to say, but he's a big flipping deal). Only Ennio Morricone or John Williams composing for a game could make a bigger splash.

what on earth are they cooking up?

tons and tons of character guest appearances. Heck, if I recall correctly, every NPC you interacted with was from the Tezuka cannon.

Gives all the fucks
What would be amazing: a cross-over fighter or a semi-sequel to Omega Factor

What'll possibly be: a card game &/or something for mobile that's free to play

Indeed, this is correct. Phoenix, from the manga of the same name, is actually the one that's responsible for the "NG+" mode, & you even met Kimba if I recall, along with Black Jack & some others. It's what helped me introduce me to Tezuka in general since I got the game after seeing the newer series on Cartoon Network in around 2004.

A sort of continuation of the original Astro Boy manga, It's like if Mega Man was set in the Blade Runner universe.

It's one of the most depressing and terrifying mangas I've read.

Yesss! In fact, read everything from this author!

Loads of potential, but I'll be cautiously following this as I don't want to be disappointed.
Song playing on the site is pretty awesome!

I've never actually read any of Tezuka's work before, but a Tezuka mash-up game still sounds pretty dang neat. Really like his character designs.

Nah, people should read the real deal first. Its depressing how little people know about his work.

Right, I know that. It's just that the hair seemed pretty different even for Rock. It could just be the angle of the teaser combined with the fact that it's partially obscured tho as to why I don't see it.

It's Rock, but obviously based on Tezuka's own design. No one else has that hair and those sunglasses.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
Well the creative team is stacked, hopefully we actually see what the game is all about soon. Love me some Astroboy.

I've ways been curious to see how The Phoenix project would have ended.

Grasshopper made Samurai Champloo and Blood+ games towards the end of the PS2. I desperately wish someone would translate the latter.

Disliked it. My most hated of the authors works.

The author is a master of suspense as seen in his other mangas bit I've never really loved any.

Looking it up Billy Bat just ended. Time to read that.

Yup, it's really good. I just reread it because I'm on a robot binge. Funny to see an Astro Boy game announced.

This is unexpected and fantastic news! My mind races at the possibilities! If they do use that Pluto manga storyline this will be wonderful!

I've actually never played a Suda game before (surprising, I know) but I'll go out of my way to try this, Morodor on the soundtrack is insnae!

Not long now, everyone! Pretty soon I'll be able to field any (and I do mean damn near any) questions you might have. :)
