His style of writing feels like it packs a punch. A lot of raw and grit to them. Low and Tokyo Ghost are his "Weak" titles (personally I think they are fine) but he is doing a great job on Deadly Class, Black Science, and so far Seven to Eternity. Different strokes for different folks. He's a unique writer in the industry.

Interesting, I think he's so divisive you could even debate what the weak title is. I'd definitely put Low above Black Science. Similar weaknesses but Black Science has a particular tick that I hate in sci-fi

, wears my investment away. I'd obviously put Deadly Class way above both. Tokyo Ghost...honestly I think I need to read it again to get a grip on how I felt about that one.

It's amazing really ahah. Dude is all over the place, and everyone is all over the place on him.

That's the goon coming up again. I really need to start in on that :/ I need more $$$

Artists is the hard one, there's too many artists I adore to list, I think. Favourite inker all time is Wally Wood, favourite colourist is Lynn Varley ez. Writers is like... Peak Peter Milligan, Garth Ennis, Frank Miller, Alan Moore, and Grant Morrison prooobably in that order.

Yeah I'm real excited for when I DO eventually read it. It sounds so good.

I'm behind on Rumble but I really dug what I read on that. Harren does some rad action scenes there.

And side note, but I am looking for books to include in next month's OT since everyone didn't like this one. Need books for:

After many years of study and practice to get there-- they all thought about comics the way SPN breaks them down at some point in the education or careers; but like you wrote, they have just internalized the process to the point where they can actually complete the stuff in time.

Rise of the black flame #1 at dark horse in September. Arguably does not need attention in the OT but it marks christopher mittens first ever work in the Mignolaverse, which is a pretty big deal to me. Wasteland was one of the very first creator owned books I got into, and his work blew my brains put back then. He's a surefire fit for the kind of stuff that goes on in the mignola books, hoping he sticks around for more. Haven't saw him do much since his and antony johnston 's new book, Umbral, got cancelled at image.

Gwenpool #3 makes me have doubts about the book going forward after liking the first two issues. Not as funny, less action, basically Gwenpool gets paperwork with the help of a guest character.

More Than Meets the Eye, and I say again that everyone better be reading it.

Favorite Completed:
ASS, Sandman, and Gillen's JiM+Young Avengers.

Favorite Writers:
Morrison and Mignola, probably.

Favorite Artists:
Gurihiru sounds like a good choice in my mind.

Also, manga must go nowhere near such a thing, as I just can't mentally cross the streams of compiling such a list that pulls from both sides. Though Yusuke Murata is clearly the best artist in the game, and I'll hear no objections to that.

Oh, and on the matter of discussion that I just barely missed out on, I'm caught up on One Piece and as always thoroughly enjoy it. I think I've done full rereads a few times, but none since the timeskip hit, since my backlog has been keeping me busy for a good long time. Really do want to set aside some time and do a proper reread since it's been a while and it's always cool to do so and see the insane amount of stuff that's foreshadowed or mentioned early on in the series, since Oda clearly does a freaking crazy amount of planning ahead. But I've got a lot of other stuff to get through before I can justify that.

I actually liked that issue and
how she had to give up her previous life. As well as Batroc's line about never ending comics.

I still have a 30% discount coupon from Comixology. I can't decide if I should use it on Blue Beetle (2006) or more DC Rebirth. :/ I know it is unlikely we'll see a sale on DC Rebirth related titles for some time, but I am keen for more Blue Beetle. Please help.

Are issues 26 through 36 of Blue Beetle (2006) worth reading? I didn't realise that Rogers left the book after issue 25. From what I can see, there is a rotating creative team on the book for the final ten issues as well.

If we get an MU teaser with a different writer different than Bunn tomorrow, I'm going to assume it's a relaunch of the X books.

Also, I'm going to be putting in an IST this upcoming week so do any of you guys have trade recommendations?
