The only reasons for this can be that they will improve it drastically and add Origins. If they do that, it makes it much more worth it.

This is for the best. I hope they take the time to really give these games the treatment they deserve. Asylum is one of my all time favorite games and I want to see it shine on current gen.

How could they even salvage it at this point? Give it to Rocksteady? Seems like a ton of work would be needed fix all the issues.

Thank gawd! Looked horrendous anywho. I don't understand why they are making it at all. It doesn't need it right now. The games are perfectly fine as it is and they are completely playable obviously. Just all about dat moneh moneh moneh for WB.

Should have given it to bluepoint an all! Also, include Origins and it's fantastic DLC whilst you're at it.

Not playable to people who only have current gen consoles.

They will never learn. Every Batman release from the last few years seems to have a scandal surrounding it. Gamebreaking bugs, horrible PC version, downgrade of last-gen games... what's next?

Quick bump but Eurogamer are saying that it could release in November now.

http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2016-07-11-batman-return-to-arkham-now-due-november

Eurogamer has been told the reason for Return to Arkham's postponement centres around the quality of the port from Chinese developer Virtuous Games, with frame-rate mentioned as a major issue.

Concerns regarding the port's quality will no doubt be of a particular concern to Rocksteady after the disastrous launch state of the outsourced PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight.

We checked in with Warner Bros. for this story and the publisher's statement remained the same as it did when the delay was announced:

"After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of Batman: Return to Arkham to give the team at Virtuous Games additional time to deliver a polished Batman Arkham game experience," a Warner Bros. spokesperson reiterated to us.

"We do not have a release date yet and will be sure to communicate that once we are sure the game will be ready. We know this is disappointing news, but we feel the extra time will allow the team to create the best gaming experience for our fans."

It seems the framerate is terrible. People expecting 60fps on consoles are going to be very disappointed. Also, this game has been ported to UE4. Epic doesn't officially support UE3 on X1 and PS4 although developers can port I themselves.

Damn, this is terrible. I was looking forward to playing through these games again this summer. :/ Yeah, any chance this collection had at being 60fps was long gone. All I want from this set is updated graphics with a solid 30fps framerate, something they seem to be struggling with.

Guess I'll wait for the Digital Foundry/ NX Gamer performance analysis before I jump into this one. I wonder why they just didn't use the modified UE3 engine used on Arkham Knight?

I don't care about the 60 fps thing as long it holds 30 fps at all time and the graphics are trully improved from last gen and from what has been shown previously.

Add in Origins.

Release it as the Arkham Saga in February 2017 for $60.

Release Arkham Knight GOTY around the same time. Ride that momentum. Then announce rocksteady new game.

Can WB just let the games be BC on Xbox at least?

I wouldn't buy them again but would definitely play the 360 versions.

Bioshock is BC right, don't be dicks Warner Bros.

with the state its in now, i think first they need to get the first 2 games in a non laughable state.

Tackling Origins might be too big of a challenge, with it being pretty busted on last gen to begin with.

Did they ever fix that 1 radio tower node on PC? Always fall through the world when trying to grapple there.

I really can't think of a good reason why Knight shouldn't be included.

Welp. Last chance to buy Arkham Asylum and Arkham City for $5 a pop on Xbox 360, cause I'll doing they'll get this low after this sale.

What was the point of porting this to UE4? Why couldn't they just use the modified UE3 that they did with AK?

Knowing WB Games, they're probably going to sit on it for a few months and then ship out what they currently have with some cosmetic improvements.

Unless they're getting a new developer or re-start the entire project from scratch (as others have suggested, simply maxing the original game out at UE3 and porting that instead), I'm honestly expecting this to be a porting disaster. No faith in this remaster whatsoever.

(And while the game does have its share of errors, I still do think Origins should had been added into the compilation, albeit with some needed polish and, if possible, gameplay tweaks too.)
