For a long time, I've had what I've considered to be a boring hairstyle (Think Prince Adam from He-Man). I switched it up a bit recently, but I'm not sure if I want to keep this hairstyle or not. I have some ideas, but I've started work in a professional setting so anything too risky is out the window (Specifically, dying my hair blue or shaving a bit off the sides; I know that wouldn't present well at my work).

Does anyone here have any recommendations for a hairstyle that isn't boring, but also works in a professional setting? Here's a picture of myself for reference:

Yup. Get like a #3 on the sides and scissors on top to a length you like (or get like a #7 on top). Have them fade the sides into the top.

Very short on the sides, longer on the top (keep most of your current hair length in the front), and use a matte styling paste. There's no way you won't look better unless the haircut goes hilariously wrong.

Mine is like this except not so much pomeade. I dry it and then mess it up. It takes some maintenance. Haircut at least every 2 weeks. When hot it falls in my face.

But my girl loves it. Can confirm sex is possible with this style. Highly recommended. Haa!

We call it the undercut so as not to alarm family, friends, and random bystanders. It always looks sharp and attracts compliments, unless you're an uggo.

None of those would fly? Damn that's a some ultra conservative workplace. In that case I've got nothing. A long on top fade is very much in style right now, looks good on most guys and can be messy or 'professional'.

Sounds like your stuck with something dull.

Yes, I know those guys are models. Professional stylists use models for photoshoots.
