Im actually cool with Moon being shifted 12 hours, I usually play at night and wish it was day in the games

Type: Null sounds really cool, I hope there are other Type: Pokemon.
Jangmo-o is totally the pseudo, I hope the heart on his head means he'll be Dragon/Fairy in his final evo.

The Ultra Beasts description makes it sound like they aren't even Pokemon. Some real SCP vibes too.

people that hate "type: null" would probably hate porygon if it was a gen 1+x pokemon :p

But Porygon is a play on polygon (because both are computer related). Type: Null is a shitty ass name. Like, really? It looks cool and the idea that it seems to be a chimera created to rival the power of legendary/mythic pokémon is cool but that name is terrible.

Time differences

Special message from Ohmori, the director:

AH, that clears it up. So it will be tied to the internal clock except specific events that require a certain time (I'd imagine for instance that the totem battles specific to each version are locked to day or night, hence no matter the actual time, Totem Gumshoos will always be fought in the day and Totem Raticate at night

Ub-1 looks like a little girl with long hair wearing a big hat, while also looking like a jellyfish. What a great design. It's spooky and menacing and I love it.

Makes me wonder if the Ultra Beasts are either going to be the triple legends in this iteration or if they will be more like the Unown.

If Type: Null ends up becoming a badass Chimera then I'm all for it.

When I first saw it I had to rewind the video because I thought there was a new type being introduced. What a dumb ass name. Alola Raticate is ugly. It looks like it always have food in its mouth.

Disappointed in the major difference between sun and moon is that it's always daytime in one and nighttime in the other. I don't think I could deal with the game being night the whole time so I'm without a doubt getting Sun.

It's not constant day and night, it's just set 12h apart. The Japanese trailer shows day in Moon and vice versa.

Posting my theory from the other thread:

Sun and Moon support Virtual console's Red/Blue/Yellow, so what if Type: Null is simply the Pokemon you get when you try to move Missingno from R/B/Y to S/M? Type: Null could be the real form of Missingno

So, why does TCPI hate their international audience? Why do they put a ton of effort into the Japanese trailers, but everyone else gets something which could have been edited by a 10-year-old?

Damn that Frankenstein monster Pokémon... It could be the best design so far, loved it.

Also I won't be surprised if this "good" team turns out to be the actual baddies in the game. Are they responsible for creating Type:Null?

Type null is a play on types in programming. Just because you don't know the pun, doesn't mean it's bad.

Yeah I was definitely getting some eerie vibes off the Aether Foundation

Type: Null had me rewinding the trailer like 3 times wondering why they forgot its name even though its actual Normal type is right there. I really dig its Frankenstein like design, but not sure how I feel about the name. I get what they're going for, it's just so out there.

Type null would have been crazy with some sort of ability that negates all type advantages and disadvantages. It would make sense for the theming.

Instead it just gets battle armor, which granted is a little bit better post Gen 6 but come on...

it's a scientific, synthetic name, it makes sense

The soundtrack is fantastic on the Japanese trailer. Starts out with Witcher 3 vibes, then Super Mario Sunshine, then at 1:30, it's reminiscent of Shinji Hosoe's work on Zero Escape.
