Custom game's are simply private matches you setup yourself that your friends can join in on. You can indeed set up crazy modes and with Forge you can create new maps and depending on hw creative you want to be you can create wacky new gametypes within Forge.

Can you turn off hover when you are ads? I used to be a massive halo fan but didn't play 5 much. I honestly hated the hover when ads, doesn't flow well at all.
Edit: I'm a junior that doesn't do research, you can and it seems most people do it? I understand why if that's the case.

Watching the pros, they seem to utilize the hover for maneuvering across larger gaps or getting up higher places than the clamber or crouch jump would allow.
The movement in h5 is quite crazy and if you can master it, you can do a lot of neat things.
im actually starting to think that if H5:Forge is popular, they'll port over multiplayer. the whole groundwork is there, and they may find it worth it to just finish the job.

No way, they aint gonna give it away for free while console owners pay for it. This is a tool to make maps, nothing more. The reason its free is because they dont want people to have to pay more than they already have just to make maps for the console version.
Matchmaking aint coming to PC. Whatever theyre working on next will.
It's footage of an old game on PC, it's not exactly a big get. Gamespot is happy to get an exclusive, and MS is happy for the footage to get better real estate than it normally would have on the back of it being an exclusive.
hm yeah I didn't think about how it would be free. I still think it's possible though, maybe with a paid matchmaking DLC? I just think it's almost too easy to port over MM at this point, it seems like everything is there, just implementation of servers etc.
But even if they never do it, I'm super happy with Forge & Custom Games, very excited for this

Why would they do that when the likely next shooter from them will be next holiday? I think youre going to be disappointed. I dont see it happening with Halo5 at all.

Stabilizing is a core feature in Halo 5's moveset, a lot of advanced techniques rely on it, the majority of players would leave it on.

I don't turn it off. It doesn't really effect any traditional Halo moves. You can still jump snipe. You just hang there for a second. I can't think of a reason you would need to have it off. If you have forward momentum you can use the hover to basically fly a few extra yards on your jump and reach across long gaps to clamber.
I would be happy if Warzone Firefight gets eventually ported over with cross-play :3
This absolutely has to be a test bed for bringing the entire multiplayer over. Anyone who thinks they'd go through all this work just for fucking Forge mode is nuts.

This has been requested by forgers for years. And they already said they won't port over the rest due to scheduling issues. There simply isn't the time or resources to port over a year old game.
Although you are right on one thing, it is serving as a test bed...for Halo 6.
I agree, but if this is popular, I think it's very possible they'll reconsider and chuck in multiplayer for the hell of it

They won't. There is no possibility because it's halo and they much rather charge you 80$ for it. But you keep hoping.

I can totally see matchmaking being added or at least a server list, 343 will be having a good look at how this plays out, customs games especially.
how will kbam work? will there be an advantage? how many PC users will there be and will it be well received by the PC community?
Halo is being left behind because it's stuck on Xbox... the franchise NEEDS to be on PC to grow, and i'm sure 343 know this.

If it's popular, they might port the multiplayer over, but it wouldn't be free.
and i've said that yes it most likely won't be free. and like I also said, I'm not really hoping much at all, I'm perfectly happy with Forge & Custom Games. Not sure why you're so hostile here

Don't know yet. Bravo on Twitter said that people playing right now were given a code, but at least we can preload the game if its not playable yet.

So I just found out for some reason my Windows 10 hasn't downloaded the Anniversary Update and when I check for updates it won't find it.
