Worldwide? Not a chance lol
I meant in US, sorry. GAF's going awfully slow at the moment.
Worldwide? Not a chance lol
O man don't do this too yourselves guys
Oh man... I can easily see Microsoft besting Sony this holiday season in sales.
The price is the only thing they got right here IMO.
Did they mention if the games are native 4k? Surely they're not, my gpu cost almost double a ps4 pro and can hardly do it.
Does this even matter? Who buys physical movies in 2016? I don't know a single person who does
Are you an expert in losing goodwill? Before the presentation, i was sure of buying the new PS4 but that presentation actually made me reconsider. It was uninspired and it felt as if Sony didn't believe in the product themselves. No specs, no actual game demonstrations and it feels as if they got very little support from developers on this one. It's crazy how Sony is going to ruin the advantage and goodwill they managed to built with PS4.
Pro-tip: How to make RedRedSuit want to buy it:
1. Pick a very good-looking 30fps game (e.g., Uncharted 4).
2. Show it running at 60fps and otherwise unchanged on PS4 Pro.
Anything else... any talk of 4K... etc... pointless for me.
Really.......I'm happy they didn't unclude UHD Blu-ray support. I don't want to pay for something I know I'll never use.
Welcome to what everybody has been saying for MONTHS. The first part anyway.
The second part is pure bullshit. There's no way you'll be able to buy a 4k TV and a 4k capable gaming PC for the same price. You would need to downgrade to a small monitor, but then why the hell would you even do that when 4k content is kind of the whole point.
I'm not sure why anybody on Gaf was surprised. But, Gaf gonna Gaf I guess..

No price drop for the Slim is a HUGE mistake.
I'll start it....
"Sony just shot themselves in the foot..."
The elephant in the room is that display latency with HDR is almost always shit.
No its not???People buying physical media in 2016 is weird.

I can see Edge running an Xbox strikes back cover akin to their 2007 PS3 strikes back cover. Their hardware is much more appealing and I say that as someone who has never really cared for Xbox hardware, even the 360 controller.

I'm having deja vu to when Sony unveiled the PS3. I didn't think I would ever feel that way about Sony again, and yet, here we are. Before the presentation, i was sure of buying the new PS4 but that presentation actually made me reconsider. Also it's not true 4k so don't go thinking you'll get true 4k gaming for $400 on your newly bought 4k tv.
