I'm not ignoring context. I am making no assumptions regarding her health. I am simply stating the fact that something like this looks bad and can have real consequences, regardless of when and where it happens.

Perception matters. It matters a lot.

It's frustrating. She had an unfortunate fainting spell on video, and even though she was shown on video walking away and looking fine less an an hour later, some still are going to act like she's at death's door.

But so does context, which as I said, you ignore. The comparison to Nixon is worthless. The campaign and opponent Nixon faced is nothing like the situation Clinton faces. Broad strokes that mean nothing, much like Brexit comparisons to this election.

That's air temperature. I work outside everyday and the sun beating down on your head can feel oppressive even with a breeze and some light cloud cover. Once it hits 85 supervisors are driving around with coolers filled with ice and bottled water to hand out. Put a thermometer in direct sunlight on an 80 degree day and it can easily read 10 or more degrees higher.

She had already fainted. They were trying to get her out of there.

The fact she was going to hide at her daughter's to me is the concern. Due to the event she would want to reappear and I personally think finding a secluded place to rest and get a cold drink before reappearing would be the first thought.

The video you can immediately see she is being held up and has already passed out. Shes likely to be out of action for the full day - which is not a selling point I'm afraid.

Thats still pretty hot, even with the moderate humidity. If someone wasn't staying on top of their water intake it could definately lead to them collapsing.

Good thing I straight up mentioned it was also a political issue. I emphasized that the video is a limited view into her overall health because there are a lot of people here who seem to be rushing to the worst conclusions because of it.

In fairness, it's a very silly thing to feel unsettled by. She left because she wasn't feeling well in the first place, and for those individuals to be calm and alert is in their job description.

Do you really think there wasn't water being served at the event, or that none of her aids had water with them? I'm from a northern city and even 85 degrees around this time of year is normal. New York isn't very cool either now, so I doubt it's not something's she's used to. As someone else mentioned, it looks like she's still wearing a coat. If she had past out due to heat exhaustion, either she would have taken it off beforehand, or someone else would have after it happened.

If it were, do you think she'd be out and about looking perfectly fine and posing for photo ops two hours later?

We have no indication that she has any underlying medical issues at all. Coughing fit? Everyone's had one. Sitting during speeches while someone else talks? We've all done that. Feeling woozy and possibly fainting? It happens to the best of us.

But, let's keep going. I'm ready for some hot scoops from the next TV MD on her new cognitive impairments.

I've known people who have had full-on epileptic seizures and appeared fine two hours later. I don't think Clinton looking spry two hours later necessarily means all that much.

This really is all speculation though--on both sides--and I think the only way this can be cleared up is with the release of her medical records.

She's wearing a bulletproof vest under, and for her to take that off, she probably have to readjust her entire wardobe to some degree. Odds are she thought she would be fine and power through, much like #CoughGate a few weeks back where it was clear she coughed for so long because she didn't stop to let it pass and continued to speak and power through the cough.
