I think the best we can expect is an announcement video this afternoon or tomorrow with a full reveal next week.
I think it's worth pointing out that TPC launched Pokémon Black and White Versions on March 6, 2011, in North America, not three weeks before the North American launch of the Nintendo 3DS. Moves like this should illustrate the fact that Nintendo and Pokemon make their announcements / releases (mostly) independent of each other. I mean, Pokemon is going to be getting weekly-ish updates until November 22nd at this rate, and I doubt the announcement of the NX reveal is happening after that.
Remember when Monster Games was working on a racing game on Unreal Engine or so ?
Me too.
I never really questioned Nintendo looking and using an ARM-based chip. My question is why Nvidia's?
If this was about 7 years ago, I would have said TI (Nintendo has a big, rather historic love affair with TI chips) but they got out of the ARM-chip business just as it heated up. I honestly don't know how far along AMD is with their ARM-production to say anything and they don't seem fouced on mobile but given Nintendo prior relationship with the company, its a rather good educated guess. Qualcomm is out because of price, Same can be said for Samsung, Apple is also a non-started for the simple fact that they are singularly focused on internal production, but even with that said the ARM market has quite a few small companies that sell chips (Apple themselves just up and bought on at some point).Better question: who else would they go with? The only other good option for a hybrid might be that DMP chip, but only if they want BC. Beyond that, Nvidia is the best option unless they just want to go cheap and only care about having a 3DS successor.
I still adamantly believe their rumored Diddy Kong Racing game was just moved to the NX.
UE3 got quite some wins on the wiiU around launch (Batman, Mass Effect, etc) but a second-party nintendo studio doing Unreal would be more than a trivial win. Of course it's not clear whether it's actually UE4 that NLG will ship with, or something that just uses UE4's material system.

But they were working on a racing game. It was just NASCAR for other systems.
I uploaded that Kevin Pereira Snap to youtube

I'll probably delete it later. Doesn't seem NX related to me. Like some kind of ad if I were to guess.
Of course It didn't kill them, they were contractedGood to see Federation Force didn't kill them.
I wonder if they are going to continue working with Nintendo tho.
Which one?I missed this earlier. I'm a total luddite so what does that entail?

Out of all of those.... Nvidia?
And keep in mind, that doesn't include the fact that for a portable form factor, Nvidia has one of the worse chips on the market for reasons that I stated earlier.
Today is the day, trust me. I feel it in my bones/s
Because NVidia has some of the best mobile GPUs in the business and a fantastic software ecosystem and network of developer/engine support. (One which all other mobile-first GPU vendors can only dream of)I never really questioned Nintendo looking and using an ARM-based chip. My question is why Nvidia's?
If Metroid is dead it isn't because of NLG, but because of Nintendo.
Lol at people blaming NLG for Metroid Federation failure.

Is this the new NX thread of the week?
Because I will subscribe.
Ah. I was referring to the fact that that 'Unreal proficiency' bullet point may hypothetically be in relation to NLG's shipping engine similarities with the UE4 material system, which NLG may or may not use on their development PCs. When a dev has a license they can afford to mix and match whatever engine components they feel suitable to their needs.Using UE4's Material System.
A new Tegra would really be a top-of-the-stack choice for a hybrid.I never really questioned Nintendo looking and using an ARM-based chip. My question is why Nvidia's?
Surely Kit and Krysta being on vacation wouldn't impede Nintendo announcing when NX will be revealed.I dont think Nintendo gonna announce anything this week with some of the main staff on vacations. Mainly Kit and his partna. Forgot her name.
Sure it will they gotta be preparing not on vacations. There would be so much information to gather in that time frame.Rösti;216678016 said:Surely Kit and Krysta being on vacation wouldn't impede Nintendo announcing when NX will be revealed.
.NX exclusively available at Babagge's

Strike one down, two more take its place.
NX henceforth referred to as Hydra.
I know. I wasn't thinking of any grand announcement with a video or Twitter campaign. I was thinking of a simple press release like this: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/pdf/2011/110425_4e.pdfThey're actually PR manager/social media manager for NOA. Their primary job isn't just doing the youtube videos.
I didnt say anything about youtube videos.. where the hell did you get that from? They're actually PR manager/social media manager for NOA. Their primary job isn't just doing the youtube videos.
what the what?

Ugh if he isn't intentionally hyping the NX then he is gonna be absolutely harassed by rabid Nintendo fans (like us).
bruh
Nintendo wouldn't just drop an NX reveal with absolutely no warning at a GameStop expo.
what the what?
Reveal no... but I assume they'll receive some tidbits regarding an announcement. Gamestop needs to carry the systeem in about six months so...Nintendo wouldn't just drop an NX reveal with absolutely no warning at a GameStop expo.
