If there this had the New 3ds and the Wii U controller on here it would be even more apparent: A horizontal handheld with a Wii U controller form factor with a New 3DS XL size (hopefully).

This is more fan fiction than fan art, but here goes. Also I guess I went mad.
Nintendo Wii was a game console that was designed to sell general populace Wii Sports with it. It got really good at it, too. Nintendo Wii U was not really designed to sell you a particular game, in some markets it was bundled with Nintendo Land, but the minigame aspect turned its more core audience off into treating it more as a tech demo pack. Same could be said about 3DS, launched with first party titles that did seem basically designed with more powerful DS in mind.
And yet, there was a game that pushed Wii U into not-so-much-of-a-joke territory in the west for quite a few months, single-handedly. There was a game that ended up being bundled with last batch of Wiis while Wii Sports became an optional add-on to the package instead due to its extraordinary sales. There was a game that was basically a symbol of 3DS resuscitation, even if it was arguably the worst, content-wise, of all first-party 3DS games releasing in the same time-frame.
Nintendo NX may be the system that is designed specifically around Mario Kart. The detachable controllers would be designed to be easily foldable into wide variety of "rectangular steering wheels". Also Home Menu would be designed by Madame Sakurai, under strict directions from Masahiro Sakurai.

This would be the perfect thread for someone with inside knowledge to slip in a drawing of the real NX controller and we'd never know. Until the reveal anyway. Lol.

Not sure if you're being serious, but those pics I found were posted 5 and a half years ago.Made screens bigger and gave it dpad like buttons. Who ever did this improved on my old design so its not a wiiu mock up.

Weird if so, and looks too fake to be Nintendo mocups. No one puts wii screens overlayed like that in a concept pic. Also, they coincidentally had the same idea, which I find suspicious because I totally guessed that weird unrealistic design.

Even though this isn't yours, I still think this one is really cool. I wouldn't mind something like this provided you could easily reach all the buttons on the backside.
