PSN - Flash Sale - US

Honestly, and I mean this whole-heartedly, it's fun for what it is. I know there's a "lol animu fighters" blah blah thing and it's a fanservice (the real kind not the cheesecake kind, though there is also that) mashup game, but it's surprisingly fun to play. I got it on disc from Amazon a while back for $20 or so and was surprised at how competent it actually is.

Plus it has Muramasa. And Sonico using cats for attacking.

I thought Dengeki Bunko Fighting Climax was solid so if Nitroplus is competent, I'll give it a shot.

Guilty Gear is amazing, I'm still unlocking stuff from time to time.
Digimon was really good! I enjoyed it a lot. There is a lot of grinding but that is fairly normal for JRPG's besides you can have the best looking mons if you try enough lol

I bought Shantae, I never played them before until a friend gave the Pirate's Curse and I loved it.

About Chronicles of Teddy.. a friend of mine liked it, he is the plattform fan and is really picky so dunno!

Sony seems to love to cater to the anime/JRPG/FG crowd with these flash sales. Rarely much available for people interested in other things. Seems to be a good deal on Child of Light...which goes on sale so often they should just leave it at the "sale" price permanently. I might have to finally pick that one up.

I don't really know how these things work, but I assume it's on the publishers and the niche games get pushed because their numbers are generally lower.

That said, we do get a fair amount of Western games in flash sales, plenty of indies.

It's the same developer that made Arcana Heart and Aquapazza. The former is highly regarded, as doujin fighters go. The latter is a personal favorite, A+ kusoge.

Is Dariusburst better on Vita or PS4? I like the idea of having a game like that on a portable, but not if it's got worse frame rate, etc.

How's the Arland trilogy, too? I've enjoyed what I've played of Ayesha so far, very pleasantly surprised that it isn't full of otaku pandering like I expected, but I heard Arland is a bit more dude-oriented and fanservice-y?

Here's my opinions on a few of the titles:

Guilty Gear Xrd -Revelator- : Amazing prices for this. If you like fighters, grab it. No-brainer. Gorgeous graphics, the best fighting tutorial I've ever seen, and a good amount of stuff to unlock.
Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Looks amazing on Vita. Runs slightly better on PS4. Great, long, monster-collecting RPG with a story that gets better as it goes along. No prior Digimon knowledge required to fully enjoy this.
Tales of Zestiria: Not the best Tales game, but still pretty good. I love the characters, the world and story are alright, and the combat and leveling systems are unique... Not a bad price for this at all if you know what you're going into or just want a decent JRPG.
Tales of Symphonia Chronicles: One classic Tales game that is pretty good and its sequel which is widely regarded as atrocious. Can't beat the price though.
Omega Quintet: Utter trash. I normally can enjoy subpar games with moe pandering, but this was just all-around terrible. Avoid.
Akiba's Trip: Fun game with a unique combat system. Some heavy anime and moe pandering here, but if you can look past it or enjoy it you'll like this, especially for the price.
Catherine: Total cult classic. It's a weird sort of puzzle/climber that can get pretty challenging
Senran Kagura: Bon Appetit: Definitely not the best rhythm game on Vita, but it's decent. You get the Hanzo and Hebijo girls with the game, but the other two schools are DLC only and it never goes on sale so if you want the full experience it'll be an additional $15.
Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus: The combat is a lot of fun and sort of like a musou game. A huge cast of great characters. If you enjoy/can overlook the pandering stuff it's a really great game.
Mamorukun Curse!: Cheap little bullet hell. I really enjoyed it. Lots of replayability and high scores to achieve.
One Piece Pirate Warriors 3: Easily one of the best Musou games out there. No One Piece knowledge required for enjoyment. LOTS of content at a low price. No-brainer if you enjoy musou.
Superbeat: Xonic: Really fantastic rhythm game, probably the best on the system. Lots of EDM/Techno/Pop. Grab it if you're into music games at all.

Holy shit, a buck and some change for Hercules is a steal. Same for Catherine's sale price.

Haven't played Grim Fandango and Day of the Tentacle. How are they on the Vita?

Gonna have to wait till I get home to see if I have the needed 10 gigs(!) of space on my PSTV for the Arland trilogy

Also if the Arland trilogy works on PSTV.

If yes to the above, it is so fucking bought.

Caved n grabbed Xrd and Tentacle.

Still unsure if I'll get Digimon. Makes it harder to decide on Vita or PS4 version since I have a Vita n a PSTV plus a PS4.

Snagged Fairy Fencer and SAO: Hollow Fragment. I wanted Lost Song too, but it was on sale for $17 last time and the disc is down to $30 already so not much savings there.

Saw a couple of people ask about the Adventure Time game so I'll offer my opinion since I doubt many people have played it.

The game overall is decent fun and is a mix of point and click adventure and some 3rd person action/battles. The battles are honestly kind of terrible, but you can get through them quickly and with little effort. The meat of the game is the point and click, told through episodes. The puzzles are pretty straight forward so you shouldn't have too much trouble.

I'd say the mileage you get out of this depends on your enjoyment of the IP. The story and dialogue was entertaining and I like the show so enjoyed the game in the end.

I believe they're all compatible. I remember looking through a list and seeing them on there.

You'd DL them separately, so just ~3GB each.

This is good news. I definitely have room for one at a time.

Even better news. Was saving the balance in my wallet for Valkyrie Drive, but that will probably be on a flash sale in about 6 months and I’ve been wanting to play the Arland trilogy for a while.

Every other week along with the persona games, hard to miss it. Will probably go on sale before end of year.

This just isn't true. It's rarely part of the Atlus sales.

About once a year.

That's what I thought too, but I double checked it on a price tracker which is why I posted this:

Every six months or so? It's overdue.

It's been on sale twice in 2015 and once in 2016. I remember it taking a lonnnnng time to ever go on sale the first time, and people rejoicing [like me]. If they follow last years pattern, it should be on sale this season at some point.

What time is it?
That's because the free version was a seperate download from the paid version and the free version is delisted. She'll be in your download list if you claimed her. You also shouldn't need to redownload her anyway, it's just an unlock key that was installed when she was claimed.

Thank you for the information! Now I'm tempted to buy Revelator.

I apologize, maybe I was thinking of PSP FFTactics!

The new graphics look pretty terrible on the Vita (and no, they look fine on PC and PS4, if not as good as the original). They have jaggies everywhere, plus the frame rate drops to somewhere below 30.

If you use the perfectly fine old graphics that still look stylish today, then you get a higher frame rate (somewhere around 60) and the game looks better.

I played most of it on Vita, so go for it. <3 Rubacava

When I first got my Vita Slim I found out I missed it's most recent sale by about two weeks. It went on sale maybe...11 months later? I was so happy.

As someone who doesn't play fighting games often, Guilty Gear XRD has caught my eye. Is it worth getting if you don't play fighting games often? The art already seems amazing to me lol.

Anything good for 5-6 year old kids? Thinking of getting Rayman.

Good pick, has co-op.

Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus sucks

The sequel was on sale last week. I haven't played it yet because I found the first game to be utter trash (im not even talking about the fanservice). I have heard the sequel is much better, though.

Yes, lots of stuff to do by yourself and a lengthy story mode if you like the characters.

Is there a cross save function between PS4/vita digimon?
Yes, but it requires both games to have the same DLC installed. This is a problem if you bought only one version at launch, because there's no way to get the launch DLC anymore. (There's other DLC, but it's readily available and free.)
