Honestly, whether or it's this week or January doesn't matter to me as long as they feel like they've made their absolute best effort. They are really under an unfair amount of pressure, not just from gamers who want another great Nintendo system, but from themselves. It's seems pretty obvious to me that the life and legacy of Satoru Iwata hangs heavily over the NX project, and it would be a shame if they were to feel compelled to rush it out before they feel it's ready. I'm glad they are protecting it as best they can, not just because of corporate secrets but because of how much is on the line both personally and professionally for everyone involved in it.
Being Iwata'a final concept, the NX being a successful rebirth of sorts for Nintendo would be one of the more poetic tributes to one of the great visionaries of the industry.
