I've had one hard crash to desktop within the first hour as well - was it before the swamp mission for you?

Only major complaint I have with the visuals outside of the blur is the RIDICULOUS speed at which the weather moves. It's fucking comical. And also super distracting and looks real, real bad.

That has to be an unintended glitch. No way this was intended.

There must be something wrong with this game. Those 1080p images look like shite.

The 4k ones aren't much better either. Wonder if they'll end up patching this bad boy.

Watch them hire QLOC or Nixxes few months from now to fix this shitshow. A year later we get articles like "Mafia 3 on PC fixed".

Just created refund ticket on Steam. No more pre-orders.

I wanna see the story but I guess I'll prefer lets play videos or Twitch.

Yeah. I've refunded my preorder. Don't need to bother installing this even. I'll check back in a few months. A real shame too. One of my most anticipated AAA games in quite a while.

I bought my keys through a reseller so not in a position to get a refund. The price was right for me, so holding out hope that all these issues will be sorted out in time via updates.

Everyone on Steam should refund the game to send them clear message that this is not acceptable in 2016 imo.

Since they are fixing the game and unlocking fps later, ppl should do the same and buy the game later, if and when they fix it.

I know all the money's in consoles these days, but I don't understand why developers don't take the age old method of making it on PC first with varying graphical sliders and then porting it to consoles and lowering the sliders until they can get around 30fps. Especially when all the consoles these days are just mini-pcs anyhow.

I wonder what were they thinking, we're gonna make a 30 fps cap in 2016 and everyone will just be okay with that, huh? It's a huge shame that developers still practice this kind of nonsense...

Well many of us haven't bought the game yet, so when talking about PC performance and how it's shit, it makes sense to weigh that against the alternative options.

I'm curious to hear how the 30fps is on PC, FH3 at 30 did not feel good.

What I don't understand is the footage they were showing us in previews. That stuff looked fine. Now it could have been on the ps4/xbone but I always assume they show preview footage on the best possible looking machine, which in most cases is the pc.

Wow, that weather... As others have said, it can't be intentional. Has to be a bug. Anyone know if similar 'hyper-weather' exists in the console vers?

Everything on max, but AA (low).
Downsampling from 2880x1620 to 1080p. Seems to hold 30fps... But I only played for about an hour (don't want to loose the steam refund option).

Crappy AI, choppy FPS, NPCs clipping through objects, bad draw distance/pop-in was in pretty much every released footage so I'm not really surprised about the quality of this port but the 30FPS lock is still really surprising.

Hmm, that screenshot looks okay. And performance at that high of a resolution with your specs seems pretty good.

Holding 30 playing at that res on a 980 is actually pretty good. Same card I have.

Screenshot looks good too. How does it look in motion?

30fps in FH3 on PC feels worse (framepacing?) and has horrible input lag compared to the X1 version. I played them side by side on my UHD TV and its night and day.

I was wondering if the 30fps in this also feels like shit. I have limited experience running PC versions at 30

I could possibly get over the 30fps stuff if the game is really good, but the reports of the game randomly crashing are troubling.

OK fair enough, I didn't mean any I'll will, just curious as to the question here, but yeah in light of PC framelock I get it :)

Game is alright so far, but the blur or whatever is hurting my eyes when I play too much

It's just a damn shame. As others mentioned Mafia has always been at home on PC, I really didn't expect this.

That said it's really early and while it looks bad I'm going to hold on for a bit to see if we get some tweaks or answers to improve things

Man tell me about it, I absolutely loved M2, warts abd all and was really really looking forward to this, but I would never buy it in its current state
