Pokemon Sun/Moon Leak Discussion Thread

I think UBs are cool to battle and encounter in the storyline, but having them be catchable is weird since they're literally based/clones of some of the human characters...

Think this is it. The rest of the demo was well scrubbed.

No Pyukumuku evo then? :[

Dang, what is it with Gen 7 and its disproportionate amount of single-stagers? Not counting UBs or legendaries we've got Wishiwashi, Oricorio, Tortonator, Bruxish, Drampa, Komala, Pyukumuku, Comfey, Minior, Passimian, Oranguru and the anchor.

Nearly 1/6th of all of the new Pokemon are single-stage :/

I was loving this gen desigsn until today, the ultra beasts are hideous and many desing are just too weird for me (mostly the ones that look like deep water animals).

Also, seeing them all together (andn with the ingame colores) it looks like there are too much pink and light blue pokemon this gen :s.

I just hope they look better in motion.

Okay, the designs are awesome, though part of me is a bit sad we're not getting more. I wish we were getting that Dolphin.

Also, I'm SO happy we could catch the UBs.

Yeah only disapointment is the lack of a pyukumuku evo. :(

It's interesting that there don't seem to be any non-Magearna Mythical Pokémon on the list. Either the dream of content patches to introduce them throughout the generation is a reality, or this is going to be an incredibly short generation.

Those aren't really pre-evos for Lunala and Solgaleo right? Legendaries don't evolve.
Could be a Phione <-> Manaphy situation, or this could just be another rule they're breaking.

eh, perhaps like Wishiwashi they all have neat abilities. It seems to be a focus of GF this time out to actually make some special abilities worth a damn.

Yeah, the unique abilities so far have been amazing. Really looking forward to the rest of the new abilities.

Man, I was so hoping that they really did have a lot more that they hadn't revealed, though it seems that they really did have a similar pre-release strategy as XY where they revealed the majority of lines.

I'm not really let down, per say, by the designs, though I am disappointed that there are no new Fossilmon, since those are always something I like to see (I know Hawaii doesn't have much of a fossil record, but accuracy regarding that hasn't ever been GameFreak's thing) as well as disappointed that so many Pokemon this generation appear to only be single stages. Also, I kind of thought there would be one or two more Alola lines.

I managed to accidentally post this in the demo thread (oh boy):

It's 71 or 73 so far depending on if the legendaries have pre-evos. And assuming some other ones aren't also different forms.

18 Alolan forms and 8 ultra beasts.

One of the Tapu pokemon is a dolphin/swordfish so that's probably where it came from.

How many generations will i have to wait for a farfetchd evo? I thought maybe with the alolan forms i might finally be happy, but alas.

Pyukumuku is perfect as-is, there's nowhere for an evo to go but down design-wise. Okay that's obviously hyperbole but I'm actually satisfied with it as a single stage, I love its design and would have wanted to keep it that way anyhow.

It's my favorite this gen and now it's even better because the shiny is the same color palette as my favorite pokemon (Skiploom, hence the avatar). Now if it could just turn out to be actually usable...

Also hell yes, that goofy mosquito is a usable pokemon. Thank you gamefreak, I love that stupid ridiculous thing and I look forward to goofing off with it. A shame it's a Sun exclusive though...

That's particularly why I wish it had an evo. As a single stage I really doubt it's gonna have decent stats at all.

Also do we know what fossils are this time around?

in-game team is looking like popplio, rainbow muk, toucan, and vikavolt right now, but i want my last two slots to be a ground and fighting type and there are multiple cool options for those so i'm not sure what to pick. good problem to have.
