As you probably know, Forza Horizon is set to be delisted on October 20th, two days from now.

As you may or may not know, Forza Horizon was part of last week's Deals With Gold offerings, and was on sale for $5. According to MajorNelson's post,

Discounts are valid now through 17 October 2016.

aka yesterday.

The good news is, the prices haven't reset yet and you can still buy Forza Horizon for $5.

Just bought it for $5 minutes ago, so it still works. But it probably won't for much longer.

Additionally, all DLC will be delisted in 2 days. While there isn't a sale on any of the FH DLC, there are like 6 Free DLCs which you should grab before you can't.

The season pass gives you everything minus two car packs (the pre-order pack and another one I'm forgetting). And it includes the Rally expansion. Once you purchase the season pass, you'll need to download everything from the in-game market.

probably the one-to-get of the lot, and that's if the 300 cars in the base game don't suffice in a world with Forza Horizon 3. Dunno about the Season Pass.

Also, can someone confirm that the Season Pass actually does include the Rally expansion? Because a) they're the same price, and b) the description for the Rally expansion mentions an additional bonus for season pass owners and that seems weird.

What annoys me more is that I planned to buy the DLC sometime eventually but couldn't get it at the time when it was on sale. Then to be announced AFTER that it was being delisted.

I bought the game at launch but never bothered with the vip dlc or season pass, seeing that I will miss it forever if I don't buy it now for $40 is bs, DLC not being discounted makes no sense.

I already confirmed it earlier in this thread.

The source being myself who purchased the season pass a few weeks ago.

All season pass content needs to be downloaded through the game itself though, not the XB marketplace (other than the season pass itself, of course).

Adding to your confirmation, yes, the season pass includes everything except preorder and VIP DLC. (EDIT: And Fast Travel, which is a couple bucks and I highly recommend.) Which I picked up last month, because I want to own all the Forza Horizon 1.

You can't, gold deals and free games are only available to those who have the month purchased, 14 day trial, 2 day trial or 7 day trial are not eligible for those promotions
(2 day and 7 day are typically for specific games)

Edit: sometimes it might work, but it's due to a glitch, not official

The Forza Horizon 1 servers sometimes just break. I wouldn't assume anything especially scary is going on, this is probably just one of those times.

Preds the power button for 10 to 15 seconds and re start the console

This sometimes happens due to corrupt files, and since XOne does not allow you to manually erase them using folders, this id the only way to do it

Licensing issues (cars and music related, I believe?).

Basically, it would cost too much to renew those licenses and keep it up on the digital store (vs. what they'd theoretically make by keeping it up).

I'm still on the fence about the Season Pass/Rally Expansion since I never really liked the Rally part of FH. Are there any new street races too in the pack or is it just Rally as the name says?

None of the season pass content is available to earn in-game without paid purchase, with the exception of a few free cars which functioned as a carrot to get people to download compatibility updates for the rest of the paid cars.

I picked up a code on eBay UK for less than £5 on Sunday, which is cheaper than the £7.25 sale price. You might be able to find a similar deal if you can't get gold before Thursday.

Picked it up as the Free GWG last month, and just grabbed all the free DLC. I'll wait until tomorrow to see if they put the season pass on fire sale.
