I have had the Payday 2 Beta taking up 12 gigs for three years. Uninstalling through add/remove programs doesn't work because Overkill removed the entire entry and I can't find where it is actually located.

I've had the same problem with Chroma ( that cancelled Harmonix FPS) for a few years now, couldn't get rid of it for anything, finally I had formatted my drive and got rid of it that way.

I don't even care whether Nioh comes to Steam anymore, latest trailer was the last nail in "wait" coffin and it's Day 1.

The OT makes it seem very story-lite. Is it much like YsI+II where most of the game is running around in dungeons/overworlds and the story parts mostly just happen in town? Or is there even less story than that? Coversations with NPCs, etc?
Xananext has quite a bit of story, but it's hidden in dialogue, Tablets stored around Harlech Island, and generally doesn't rely on exposition for anything too obvious. There's still cutscenes and such, but most of the time you'll be exploring before the occasional plot beat. It's got about as much story as Ys VI: Ark of Napishtim, but less NPC detail because you have only one town to revisit.

So I started my first ever playthrough of Resident Evil yesterday (since I could never get my copy of the original PC Version to work on my first PC) and I'm completely hooked by this game.
I just "beat" Plant 42 using the V-Jolt after initially running into the boss room completely unprepared. Feels like I cheated my way out of that encounter but whatever.
Exploring the mansion and surroundings is a lot fun, I just wish there were was more flavor text and documents lying around so you can get a better idea what was going on in this mansion. One thing I'm concerned with right now is that I'm currently down to one ink ribbon. Playing on "mountain climbing" I probably saved a bit too frequently during my first hours of the game ... hopefully this isn't going to backfire at me later on.

The one thing about RE old style is even if you waste a bunch of ink Ribbons. You'll memorize what you need to do, so when you try again you don't need to use as much. I will say that it's best to try and do a decent chunk before saving.

I've watched enough REmake playthroughs to know that the game becomes more generous with items later on. Handgun bullets and defensive items in particular, so don't worry about wasting them. (Well except for the whole Crimson Head bit- bring a shotty)

Oh well, just got slashed up by a Hunter. I guess that's it for today.

Yeah that is true. I probably could also go back to any of my current save points and complete way larger chunks of the game without having to save as frequently if I need to.

So far I have barely used defensive items, most of the time I preferred taking a hit instead of using one because sometimes you won't even take damage (and other times you are almost dead). But to be fair, I'm using the modern controls so avoiding zombies isn't as hard (I tried tank controls but ... no, just no).

I'm trying to get the best deal here.

http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/1910/
On the Day of the Devs Bundle 2016 on steam, I only need Oxenfree, Titan Souls, and Day of the Tentacle Remastered. My cost would be $3.50.

https://www.humblebundle.com/day-of-the-devs-2016
Now if I buy the first tier for $1 to get Titan Souls. Would it bring down the Steam bundle by more than $1?

I hope this is clear.

I think it would work out slightly cheaper to just get it on Steam, but I'm no math man.

I do the math in euros:

(19.99 + 14.99 + 14.99)*(1-0.93)= 3.50 €

https://www.humblebundle.com/day-of-the-devs-2016
Now if I buy the first tier for $1 to get Titan Souls. Would it bring down the Steam bundle by more than $1?

Say $1 is x euro, then:

x + (19.99 + 14.99)*(1-0.93)= (x+2.45) €

So basically, if prices in dollars are the same as in euros, you save 5 cents by paying on Humble first.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Should bring it down to $2.45. So it would work out to saving you $0.05 buying from both places.

Keep in mind, in the event that you care, your potential future Steam review of Titan Souls wouldn't be counted in the aggregate data.

I paid for videogames in physical form. Then I paid for CD-keys. Then I paid for DLC.

Then I paid for keys to open chests so that I could get cosmetics for my avatar.

Then I paid for Steam cards to craft into Steam badges which I could show on my Steam profile.

Nowadays, I pay for my Steam review to be aggregated.

But via Humble you do get DRM free versions of the games, if you're into that sort of thing like I am.

Just in case you guys haven't seen this little sizzle reel.

Day of the Devs 2016 Featured Games

A lot of great looking games there.
Including some games I've been looking forward to for a long time that I thought maybe I would need to wait 10 years or something. Like say Spy Party, Twelve Minutes, Gorogoa and Secret Legend all look to be fairly far long, so maybe not 10 years after all.

This is also a valid point that I overlooked. So basically it boils down to: save $0.05, get DRM free copies of the $1 tier games, and lose the ability for your voice to be heard in Steam reviews.

Got it, Baron_Calamity?

I missed that. Thank you for that link. If you want to play Spy Party, you already can. I bought the game a long time ago and it was already really good.

Edit: Not only has the game been graphically enhanced, but THE WEBSITE HAS CHANGED! It is super stylish now.

Edit²: I am all the more confident in my selection of games to buy next year.

God damn, Xanadu Next is so freaking good!
It's like everything I ever wanted in one single package.

This is a game that flew under my radar. I first heard about it yesterday in that thread.

Looks like XSEED added five new entries into their database.

If I had a guess... Akiba's Beat, Senran Kagura Bon Appetit (already announced), and Senran Kagura Estival Versus are easy ones. The other two are up in the air.

Way farther down are two unnamed apps that haven't been updated in almost a year. No idea what those are either. I wish we had another SteamDB leak. ;_;

Last night I played through The Sea Will Claim Everything. It is a really beautiful, short little text-driven graphical point-and-click adventure game. It is written by the writer of The Talos Principle and drawn by his wife who has this pleasant child-like marker style that's both very aesthetically pleasing and deliberately quite stylized. Although there are puzzles it's not difficult and mostly if you just keep thinking through things and clicking you'll get there.

The wonderful thing about the game is that you can click on literally anything and there's just mounds of great text. Every mushroom, every rock has a personality. Every book in a library has a title. Every character (all of which are very cool to look at) has things to say about everything in the game and they're all extensively written. It's funny, cheeky, and well written.

The game itself is broadly politically and written as a protest against European austerity measures; other themes include official corruption, a sense that all politicians are the same; the state use of violence; popular resistance. It's very literate and informed by literature and mythology. I am just truly surprised to see a game have such a voice. It's so clearly the work of someone who sat down and thought about things and built out this world and these people. Just lovely. It took me about 3.5 hours to get 100% completion. The game sells for $10 but it has been discounted in the past.

The game connects to the authors other games. There are currently 5 other games in the series (they are all connected, but you don't need to play them in any particular order). 3 are older than The Sea Will Claim Everything, one is a browser game released after, and one is a short spinoff in the The Sea Will Claim Everything engine, which costs nothing but you can optionally pay $3.33 on Humble to support development. The 7th title in the series will come out next Spring. I'm personally planning on playing the spinoff. There are also a bunch of stories and drawings in the same world (the "Lands of Dream") on the series' website. I really, really recommend this.

Here's a trailer

(I also played a one hour long free Steam game called Missing Translation which is a bunch of quick simple puzzles based on spatial intelligence and two language-decoding puzzles--all fun and well worth the hour)

Xseed are attached to the PS4/Vita version of a new Fate/extella game so that's probably one of the others. Developed by Marvelous their parent company too so probably wouldn't even need to do much finagling for the port.

I can think of two... but the chances of that are probably close to zero.

A lot of cool stuff in there. Love the look of A Mortician's Tale and Ape Out

Had exiting times in Dead Rising today when it about seconds whether or not I could reach the next major mission before running out of time.

Nice. Not as much can be done in the UK, though I found gamesplanet does a 15% discount bringing the Archon edition down to £38.

Also the OT is ready to go, my first proper one!

Lol, what happened to FM 2017? Mostly negetive reviews overall.

From what I've read the game introduced basically nothing new, and so far it's a database update only. That's not a good incentive to leave your '16 save file behind.

Looks like people bought it instantly (thinking it would be like the previous ones in term of improvements) and got mad when they saw the actual status of the game.

Servizio

I don't really need a tag, but I figured I'd get one to make people jealous. Is it working?
Is there a way to remove the vr category in my steam library?

If you hide all the games in the category, it disappears. Which is a pretty shitty solution but some casual googling says it's the only option at the moment.
