Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition rated for PS4/XB1/PC, published by Gearbox

heard great things about this game. was going to buy and play it then i found out that it might get a remaster so i held off (also didn't want to deal with games for windows live). good news.

Bulletstorm was one of the best games of last gen, but my stomach churns at the idea of giving Gearbox any money for anything, even if they only act as publisher. I'll wait and see what exactly they enhance and if it's worth sacrificing a principle of mine.

If Gearbox is only publishing the game (which seems weird) I could hold my nose to support PCF. But if they're developing the remaster and PCF isn't I will have zero interest.

It could also be contracted out to smaller studios like Armature and Iron Galaxy. That's what they did for Borderlands THC.

I hope Gearbox isn't really involved with the development of this.

But I want a remake pretty badly... maybe people will now see how awesome the action is in this game. Multiplayer score mode is really fun with 4 people.

Bring on 2!

PCF owns the game and have already leaked assets of the remaster from their own database. Bulletstorm is their child and i think its obvious they are the ones who are going to drag it kicking and screaming back to relevance, if anybody is

I've been holding off on replaying this hoping it would be BC on xbox one because I wanted to play it with the elite controller but a good remaster would be really nice and unexpected.

Honest question, I don't keep up with most of these boycotts, why are we super against Gearbox rn? Other than Randy's a bit of a cunt

This game would have been really good if they didn't bog the game down with jellyscreen. Yet another console oriented shooter from the 7th gen that tried to appease the call of duty fans while still having arcade like gameplay that at best only sort of worked.

A fun game, but I'm not going to be itching to pay more money to play it again.

Wait... What does Gearbox have to do with Bulletstorm?

Wasn't it developed by EPIC, published by EA?

People can fly developed and created the concept for the game, not Epic, Epic only owned the IP.

People Can Fly bought the IP off Epic and partnered with Gearbox to publish the remaster, but they are developing it themselves, and most likely a sequel too.

They really were bummed about not being able to continue the IP, so this is their way forward

as usual I'm missing something. What's the big deal about gearbox publishing it? Is it their quality for remastered ports or is it something video games politics reason that makes thier involvement so abhorrent?

Hopefully there's an upgrade path for people who own the GWFL version on PC.

Also, Gearbox is only publishing this. I may hate Randy like everyone else but things will be fine guys.

Out of all the games that EA could go back and revisit they choose this piece of garbage?

Sad.

Then they put Gearbox in charge.

What?

You not only have bad opinions but apparently did no research to reach them.

OT: I'll probably end up buying this to show my interest in the franchise just like I did with MUA and FOC's 'remasters'.

Isn't it really easy to patch GFWL out of the current Steam version?

JaseC said before, but XliveLess is a file (.dll) that you copy into your GFWL game folder, and then your game will skip GFWL logon, will avoid GFWL layers ingame, and will save your checkpoints in your local disk instead of GFWL servers.

I mean, is fucking easy and awesome at the same time. It works for Bulletstorm, GTA IV, and other games.

Isn't the current PC version really shitty? At least that was the case when I last tried to play it.

No. Is perfect.

.No. Is perfect.

With tweaks it's a lot better, but the fact they encrypted the config files required to fix a lot of the issues (mouse acceleration, texture streaming, FOV) was unforgivable. Add it not supporting offline GFWL profiles (again, only fixed by a fan patch) and you have a product with severe deficiencies out of the box.

The only downside of the original Bulletstorm on PC is that it uses GFWL. I have been waiting for them to remove it but this is better I guess. But then again, we have had plenty of remasters recently which ended up being inferior to the original game in many ways, so that also has me worried a bit.

For you.

This will probably be the case. It's a Unreal Engine 3 game and as we've seen time and time again, many things will get worse while trying to force a transition to 4.

OK good that makes me feel better.

I'm looking forward to hearing more about this game. Playing through Titanfall 2 at the moment and it's making me hungry for more fun, exaggerated FPSs with crazy movement. Maybe I should pick up Doom as well.

I got the original release on Origin for free and didn't play it. Then I bought the PS3 version for 2 bucks used and didn't play it..... so I look forward to purchasing this version and never getting around to it lol.

Wait what, I'm only getting this news today. I wouldn't mine getting the remaster. Very satisfying gameplay and the dialogue always on point.

One thing I really liked about this game was the relationship between Gray and Ishi. Despite the dumb script and alpha bravado, I thought the relationship between the two was actually quite sweet and well-developed. Especially towards the end when
Gray apologises for being such a dick
