Did you update the firmware on the PS4 and PS4 Pro to the latest versions? Make sure you do that first.

Lord Almighty, Ratchet and Clank looks so good. Hopefully, my other 200Gb of games will be downloaded by...December. My speeds are all over the place. I assume psn is getting hit pretty hard with folks downloading their games.

Wow Infamous First Light is definitely the best PS4 Pro patch over experienced today and I'm not even on a 4K/HDR TV. The higher framerate mode is a god send and the super sampling looks clean as hell!

Sony marketing has been very clever about both this and PSVR, saying very little until it arrives and allowing people to spread the word, you can;t get any more powerful marketing than that.

I wonder how many people that previously cancelled pre orders, or said they wouldn't get one because its a waste now have one ordered.

Pro and PSVR are the greatest things to happen to gaming for the last decade, Sony have it sewn up and both are making them money on day 1.

Got everything set up on my ks8000, playing Second Son and HDR rendering in the options says "unavailable"

Ugh what the fuck... I still don't know if I've even seen HDR yet.

UHD HDMI Colour option for the HDMI port in picture settings on the TV enabled?

You have to enable each HDMI port seperatly for HDR colour

Just got everything setup.

It's so quite! Hope it stays that way in games. My launch PS4 was like a hair dryer.

Downloading Infamous First Light. Trying it out at 1080P tonight on my VT60, but my LG C6 gets delivered tomorrow so I can play in 4K HDR. Super excited.

Downloading the Dishonored 2 patch crazy slowly. I have 1 Gbps and this is downloading at around 10 Mbps. Ugh. Good to hear other people are having the same issue. Must just be all the new Pro owners downloading stuff.

Yeah, word of mouth will be important as we head into the holidays. So far it seems good.

I don't think it's a placebo, the quick menu is instant now. Probably from a number of factors, extra ram, CPU, better networking. It makes sense it would be a bit more responsive now

Did we ever get confirmation on what the BF1 difference are on the Pro? It seems more crisp now than it did before on my old PS4, like noticeably different the moment I started playing.

They said the 4K patch is not out yet, but apparently they have unlocked the GPU, CPU so the game runs at 900p or 1080p pretty much locked and has a much higher average and stable framerate.

Anyone playing BF1 on Pro?

Mine is broken :( I can't join multiplayer matches, it just sits at 'loading game' forever

I never tried it on the regular PS4 so I dunno if this is a Pro glitch or if something is just jacked up

I even tried reinstalling the game and it just doesn't work

Sorry if this is a dumb question. For games like RE4 without a Pro patch, do I need to turn the HDR on my TV back off or does it matter? Switching it on and off depending on th game would get old.

HDR enabled on your tv doesn't mean it's always running in HDR, you've just allowed it to switch to HDR Mode when the content supports it

So you are fine

There are no dumb questions, don't worry. If you've got everything on auto the PS4 will switch between modes automatically. You shouldn't need to do anything manually

Played around an hour each of Ratchet & Clank and Uncharted 4 and the Pro is nearly inaudible, hope it lasts longer than a year this time, but I can enjoy it for now!

You need to download the full firmware rather than the update firmware (891.1 MB, not 312.1 MB), and copy it to /PS4/UPDATE/PS4UPDATE.PUP on the USB drive (formatted ExFAT, with partition scheme MBR and not GUID).

Hmm, it looks better to me, may just be the placebo effect or something haha it's definitely running smoother though.

Same happened to me kind of. Make sure you have the large update file(close to 900mb) not just the most recent firmware. The one you may have downloaded may be just the update which is like 250mb.

Scroll to bottom of page where it says "Perform a new installation of the system software" and click the link included in those instructions to get the correct PSUPDATE.PUP file.

I'm a dumbass, the actual update file was automatically named as a copy because I downloaded the wrong update the first time. So it was PS4UPDATE(1).PUP instead of PS4UPDATE.PUP

You need the FULL version of the ps4update.pup

It is like 800MB

If you have the 300MB version of the file it will NOT work for a hdd replacement install. Go get the 800MB one.

Does anyone know if I can take the 2TB hard drive out my current PS4 and swap it out for the 1TB hard drive in the Pro?

Damnit, I have 24 hours on this transfer. Using a Lan cable through my router on both consoles.

I am also transferring close to 1tb, but still!!!

I want to basically have your babies. I was getting 2 extremely strange Errors (CE-41655-1 and NW-something) and even PS chat support had no idea what to do, they recommended me taking back the console. I tried the WiFi/Direct connection method and it worked instantly.

I was driving myself nuts trying to troubleshoot this tonight, you saved my ass.

Also, this needs more visibility for those still having problems transferring.
