So this was spotted earlier in the FFXV demo thread but I think this warrants its own thread. It is important to point out that the difference as seen here is without any official patch for the Pro version. This can be confirmed by checking the resolution on PS4 Pro, which runs at 1080p.
So FFXV demo allows the user to run at two different modes. First is called Lightweight mode which runs at an uncapped frame rate at 1080p. The other is high quality mode that renders at 1080p with visual enhancements.
There are a few GIF comparisons below, and then closeups to show the improvements. Despite being rendered at 1080p, the AA has been improved while AF difference is HUGE. Image credit goes to fellow GAF members Slaythe and Venom Fox.
Here is what is confirmed for the PS4 Pro when it comes to FFXV.
1. 1080p @ targeting 60 fps with visual enhancements - currently it can run at 40-50 fps but a patch in December will improve it further.
2. 4K rendering using upscaling. This will result in supesampling on 1080p TV.
Note: HDR is confirmed for all platforms including Xbox One S and the standard PS4.
