For you.
All of OT is just Trump and political threads. I don't know how people are gonna be able to cope with the election for the next 4-8 years. Mods should really consider moving everything into one mega thread like the Brexit stuff. Or else it will really take a toll on everyone's mental health. All it takes is a tweet from him to send everyone over the edge. And he hasn't even been sworn in yet.
A OT would make it hidden away and wouldn't inform people of his new fuckery of the week. People need to see this.

Game Informer impreasions: Mass Effect Andromeda feels like DA Inquisition, yet people are somehow shocked.

What did people expect? It's an open world game coming from the same devs.

A OT would make it hidden away and wouldn't inform people of his new fuckery of the week. People need to see this.

Yup. A mod has already said NO to the Trump OT idea.

I can't say that I am surprised .. I can say that I have reported the group, however.

Yeah, I did too. I can't tell if they're actually serious or "just joking", though.

bought ym first ever laptop today, whats the deal with saves? can I copy some documents dir to a flashdrive and to the laptop or something? are they all in the same place?
Gamesavemanager is gonna be your best friend. Very easy to archive and migrate.
PCGW also can help you identify save files for non-Steam games or if you don't want to use GSM.
Of course then there's games which use Steam Cloud Save which is handy.

Last chance, ask JaseC here. He somehow became a sentient database all things gaming :)

Pretty much 9/10 and 8/10 affair. PC Gamer and PC World gave it the lowest at 75 - but the complaints and comments the reviewer made on reddit really demonstrate a poor review process. Basically, combat changes at harder difficulties by changing AI, tactics and spell usage of enemies only. Seems reviewers missed that, and amusingly in the PC gamer review, he switched to easy so he could get the review done in time but didn't discuss that. Hate reviewers these days. Better to wait several days and check the steam reviews of people who put enough time in and tried different things. I think that is sitting at 95% but I would wait longer for better review and bigger sample size..
Could you give me the link to those comments?

Really like this game. Simple 2 button controls, but very difficult and satisfying. Soundtrack is great too.

Too much work! Ill just replay the first chapter of Fran Bow, I know the puzzles now anyway.

Any suggestions for laptop friendly games? Stuff that isnt very demanding or that you can easily pause at work?

I downloaded a few ppint and clicks (fran bow, doot, silent age), massive chalice since its turn based, endless legend to maybe give a 4x a go finally. I thought about Pillars of Eternity but I wasnt sure if it was a action rpg or turn based. Nor of how demanding it is (not that the laptop is super shit, its decent I guess)

Sure - https://www.reddit.com/r/Games/comments/5c8172/tyranny_review_thread/

Look for PCG Steven or something. Just inconsistent between his review and his coments. The review doesn't comment on difficulty, yet when asked he apparently tried hard briefly but found it too hard, and moved to easy to finish the game faster. He also has lots to say on Pillars in the review, but apparently didn't play much of it by his own comments... Just a lot of odd things that leave me thinking it's not a good way to do a review, or neglect what is clearly a point of contention in his review.

More suggestions.

Hyper Light Drifter.
FTL.
Super House of Dead Ninjas.
GONNER.

Finished HLD (nor would I want to play it without a pad anyway) but I was JUST thinking of FTL :)

Techno is a P&C right? What was the P&C on the last humble monthly that is supposed to be quite good?

Feel free to gift it then.

Dont, i just meant I dont own it.

Moar!

I tried to load your list of games but it froze my tab lol

The reviews for that dropped quite a lot from the praise that was given at first. I wonder what was such a problem. The concept and ideas seem pretty cool, looks and sounds good. Maybe it gets repetitive or there are problems later on?

From what I've read there was an update that might have caused some issues with the saves of some players

It is easily the best point and click adventure I've played in ages. I've got a spare key, you can have it.

I have it. I think ill go heavy on point and clicks since I dont play them at home anyway.

Any good WD2 videos? Not that hyped by it, but want to see what the game is like over WD1

a lot of people streamed parts of the full game today so you can try and search on Twitch and such to see them...or search on Youtube for videos that have been released in the past 2-3 weeks

One thing that irritated me though was when I tried watching IGN playing it earlier they had 2 people I had never seen before playing through it and the main one playing said he hadn't played it before so he knew nothing about the controls, gameplay, etc so that's kind of a crappy way to try and preview a game live...they could have at least put somebody on there that was at least halfway used to how to play

Costume Quest
Creeper World 3
Hexcells series
Worms series
Your favorite anime visual novels

For free stuff:
Battle for Wesnoth
The Ur Quan Masters aka Star Control II
FreeCiv (if you really like Civ 2)
Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup (or another roguelike of your choice)
Scorched 3D

Owlboy is good. It's not great. It's very pretty. Surprisingly rough around the edges for a 9 year old game. I think the Super Bunnyhop review posted a page or two ago that describes the gameplay as a little hollow is correct. Combat is just OK, levels are just OK, puzzles are just OK, it really is missing that final gameplay pizzazz. Still good, and I liked the story and characters. Recommend it on sale or in a bundle (Roboleon gifted it to me, so I didn't pay for it), probably not for $24.99. I got 8 hours out of the game + 3 hours out of a minigame that I confess I really suck at. 100% completion/collectibles (missing a few nuisance achievements)

Just finished the first chapter of Tyranny, it's great so far.

Conquest mode is a neat idea, the characters are alright altho not amazing, combat is fun and so far decision seem to be rather meaningful.

It's also really fun being the bad girl and ordering executions everywhere.

I cant get over how much it looks like PoE.

Im not saying it as a bad thing

A shame it was deleted before I saw it, I was wondering if they would be the first people in human history to do a heartfelt recommendation of Call of Juarez: The Cartel.
