Being not native is ok, but this must be some kind of low res for selfies or something because is near 1280x720 resolution scaled to 4K.
It's fun so far (2 hours in), but just as in Mafia 3 the AI of other vehicles seems poor. Park a few cars on an intersection and watch them stand still and wait forever instead of trying to get past.
It's strange cause when I am blocking the road with Marcus they do steer around me.

It updated to v1.02 when I popped in the disc this afternoon. Not sure if that is the 'day 1 patch' though.

Just witnessed a guy hijacking a car (pulling the driver out), then turn and crash into another car of which the driver stepped out to argue with the guy who even apologised to her. Then the original driver of the stolen car takes it back by entering it behind the guy's back, he sees it and starts to argue with her, so she steps out and punches the guy into his face. Then a bystander called the cops who came by and picked up the woman who's car got stolen in the first place.

I love how everything is open from the start. No more region unlocking, you can go anywhere. And you can customize clothing from the start, very neat as well. And it's not like you start with zero money.

Yeah, could be just trolling. Art did show what was German soldier standing guard in WW2 uniform from helmet to jacket. Also that one art looked a lot like rooftops of what I guess to be London and what looked like observation balloon for spotting air raids.
AC set in WW2 could be interesting.
Technically we got that in Syndicate.

There's some weird shit going on with the game and its online connectivity. I've had a couple of times where I would get pretty brutal slowdown and fps drops when someone entered my game at random. Cars would disappear, performance tanks.
Just now I was playing and randomly the fps drops to the <20. I figured someone was in my game so I went into the menu, quit the session [so there was someone in my game], disabled all online options but the game just said "fuck it" and kept running at 15 fps, and it seems v-synch was completely disabled somehow. Screentearing up the wazzoo. Fastraveling somewhere didn't fix it, so I just quit the game alltogether.
PS4Pro, by the way.

Game ran without any problems whatsoever until the online shit started happening, there's no way this is a Pro-related issue.
First Watchdogs would get pretty crazy performance issues as well when the online stuff went haywire.
i had a problem with fps going waaaay down aswell
had to restart the game 2 times for it to fix...must be some weird bug thats gonna need a patch
but it only happend once and it was a quick fix so im not gonna go into panic mode just yet
edit: the game runs fine btw ! its the bug/glitch that fucks it up

When I did the preview I discussed this with the other person who was with me on video. Its pretty much instantly noticeable that its far less then WD1. By a substantial amount.
I think someone posted earlier about a notice saying that something was up with seamless multiplayer. Maybe its something related to that?
Also, jealous of everyone that gets to play early.

Rebooted the game and performance is back to normal, thank god.
I have to say, the random NPC stuff in this game is some next level shit. Just now I was walking by the park, saw a parked car and stole it. Suddenly an NPC sitting in the park stands up and comes running up to me yelling "DON'T STEAL MY CAR!!!".
And earlier two NPCs bumped into each other and started talking shit. This escalated and they got into a fist fight. A third one walks by, also starts interfering, also gets into the first fight. A fourth NPC calls the cops [I shit you not], the cops arrive and the guy fighting gets arrested.
That was crazy.

I read this went live days ago. Maybe try a full reboot? Or check that it hasn't already downloaded?
On the menu it mentions seamless online is disabled due to issues with lag and crashing. I had a bounty suddenly when I was playing about an hour and a half ago so I'm guessing they might be switching things on and off to test. Word is the day one patch is still in the works and hasn't gone live yet, so I'm guessing they're working overtime to have this fixed by launch. (not sure on the source for this?)
I've not had any other performance issues whatsoever other than 1 instance where the fps dropped from some effects popping off for a couple of seconds at most. Happens to most games occasionally and I've played about 3 hours so far so I'm not concerned.

Nope. No placeholder in ready to install or in my games or any indication that I own the game at incept for if I go the store it shows I already own this. Thats it. Very strange.
I keed my xbox in instat on, and went to power and hit restart, im assuming thats what you mean by a full reboot? Done that a bunch of times and nothing. Through the store on xb1 it doesn't allow me to download it just says you own this. Anyway to force it another way (like through app on iPhone?)
