Only just realised this but I can't believe they removed Focus Mode, that was one of the greatest things of the first game.

I'm not even sure why, either. Perhaps because of how OP it was?

Because it doesn't play nice with online.

Focus mode made it much more of a shooter, removing that makes going in all guns blazing less of an appealing option. Will lead to more players using the hacking stuff I guess.

Is there any incentive for playing non-lethal like storyline/trophy reasons, or is it just more of a preference? In Mafia 3 I pretty much just killed everyone and didn't bother with the non-lethal takedowns, but in Mankind Divided I went through the whole game without killing anyone.

God damn I'm so torn. I'm not entirely sold on it but I have it pre ordered for $49.99 on Amazon.ca so I'm tempted to keep my order just because of the discount. I enjoyed the first one but so far WD2 doesn't seem to impress me from what I've seen.

One trophy there for doing 30 stealth takedowns but aside from that I'm unaware of anything the developers have said about rewards so I don't think so.

There are 4 hidden trophies so maybe one is for a no kill run but unlikely I expect.

Highly recommmend waiting for the day one patch if you got this early.

I am doing side by sides for all 3. Performance wise you do see some drops even unconnected and its not a fan or running great when smoke and other debris is on the screen at times.
But its not terrible. The game isn't locked at 30 though if thats what your asking.

What version are you running?

The number of cars/people doesn't seem that bad - it's on the same level as GTA V as far as I've seen. Are there actually any open world games with huge crowds?

Good, had a friend comment on lack of traffic in these types games....my only response is I sit in trafffic in my commute, why would I in a game... GTA5 and WD was real good in that dept.. cant wait for this..

For all of Mafia 3's faults, I feel that the pedestrian/traffic flow is pretty good. You very rarely have moments of "barren streets" weirdness in the busy urban areas, and in fact you can come across intersections with upwards of 20 vehicles + pedestrians all within your field of view, and you'll still see pedestrians consistently on the sidewalks while you're driving. Doesn't hurt that there are a lot of really tight and curved roads in Mafia 3 either, which gives a better impression of density. To be fair though, the AI in that game is pretty basic, with none of the call and response, or systemic activity in Watch Dogs 2.

I do agree that the world looks a little empty at times in WD2 footage though, which is disappointing. These are major 4-6 lane roads deep in the city and sometimes there's like no traffic/pedestrian movement for a while. It's strange.

Is that something a day one patch could improve?
Also, couldn't the pro densify peds and traff?

I was in the exact same boat. After watching lots of gameplay today I cancelled my pre-order. It just doesn't look that fun, and I have plenty of games to keep me occupied until it inevitably drops below $50.

I think its more an attitude about how the game creates a lived in feel. Its a good deal less than many titles. We did some random counts for the review and in some places less than half where you would expect them for an open world style game. There are also some true oddities in how they spawn.

Call me petty but the traffic density is a huge downer for me. On the one hand i get people want to speed down the streets, but seeing something like the goldengate bridge have very little traffic really takes me out of the setting.

Have not played gta 5 for along time, but from memory every street had a great amount of density.

Watching videos watchdogs has alot of people running down streets waiting for the next car to spawn.

Will probably still buy it regardless as i really want to explore SF in a game, but i hope they do provide for traffic density options (why not make it toggable for people who like empty streets versus busy)

Well after watching a bit of gameplay/storyline

This is a complete 180 from Watch_Dogs.

This is just twentysomethings do stupid shit and having a movement...

Not bad.

For people with the game, how long will it take to collect all the key data? That looks to be the only trophy that's even remotely challenging/time consuming.

Hoping it reviews well, but knowing it's an improvement on the first game is enough for me since I enjoyed it quite a bit. If nothing else, I just need the co-op to be solid. Looking forward to that the most.

I need invasions to be smooth. Nothing better than seeing an NPC act strangely out of the corner of your eye and going on the hunt.

Yes I loved the inovating way Ubisoft incorporated pvp In wd1. Had a blast with it and hope wd2 surpasses wd1 on that front . Hell, I'm hoping for big improvements on all fronts.

Yeah, W_D was one of the only recent games where I liked the multiplayer since it was seamlessly integrated into the single player.

I decided to cancel it and just put the money towards a PS4 Pro. FFXV is in two weeks and even though my expectations are at an all time low for it, I'm still more interested in it than WD2. Besides, Ubisoft games have a history of going very cheap during Boxing Week so maybe I'll pick it up then.

Cant seem to get the Gold Edition on Xbox to preload. Anyone else having preload issues? Maybe it's not up yet?

Yo this game has it all! NSFW!! https://twitter.com/Swizzasaur/status/797941221016670208?s=09

Full disclosure; this is my screenshot of this full disclosure.

Alright Volition, there's no excuse now, in Saints Row 5 remove them censors!

I really hope they patch in higher pedestrian and vehicle density not only for immersion, but because then online hacking won't be easy as heck. In Watch Dogs 1 you had plenty of NPCs to blend in with and vehicles to hide behind when invading dudes. In Watch Dogs 2 it looks like dudes will be able to spot you way too easily.

I do as well. It is flatly noticeable. But with the FPS issues I am guessing some of it is a tradeoff for FPS in some areas.

It was also one of my favourite things about Watch Dogs.

I'm worried WD2 just won't feel the same without it. Like a Max Payne game with no bullet time.

They didn't even have to remove it to try to keep the hacker victim from being able to notice they are being hacked. Bullet time worked perfectly in Max Payne 3 online. They just need to copy the way Rockstar did it.

From some quick Google-Fu, Tony Hawk 5 had a 7.7 GB patch, and Elder Scrolls Online for PS4 had a 15 GB patch.

We talking in that neighborhood?
