I can't recall the last game I played where I needed a dpad for more than just selecting menu items.

I like playing and emulating older games and it comes in quite handy for those situations (among others).
...I can't actually tell you some titles, but I use it enough to feel that it's a priority for me, lol.

Guys the Microsoft Store is doing $40 controllers for every Xbox pad that isn't the elite. I need a sexy new controller, which do I get?

I really want that pink one. I also like the blue one (that is also best buy exclusive) and the Oh so edgy Gears red one.

I think pink is one of the new ones with blue tooth, right?

Where are you getting that price from? I logged into the store and all controllers are regular price.

I think i totally need one of those customized Xbox pads sometime.
Made a few cos i was bored http://imgur.com/a/mm7kj

That first one is very Florida Gators... it's awesome.

I want real numbers on how many people take advantage of the free engraving to get "Harambe" on the controller to compare it to the number who used the write-in on the presidential election, so I can really see where our priorities lie.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the PS4 controller vastly overrated.

I would pick the X1 or the WiiU Pro controller over it any day.

There's a very likely correlation between the size of a person's hands and the controllers they prefer. It's akin to computer mice somewhat.

Although the PS4 sticks are little too high for my preference.

Considering how much some people seem to praise the WiiU pro controller, I'm looking forward to seeing how the Switch Pro controller is.
The stick placement in WiiUPro is madness, but since that's now changing on Switch it just might be a perfect controller for me.

Assuming you can make it work on PC. WiiUPro is bluetooth right?

Talking about overrated (especially build quality, bumpers..)
Not near close to Xbox360 gamepad.
Nothing wrong with build quality and bumpers on mine.

Well actually, I think the rumble sounds weird but having nothing to compare it to, it might be normal too.

Same, I don't get the love for the PS4 controller. 360 and Xb1 beat it any day for me.

Wait, what? 360 controllers feels much flimsier than XONE + better sticks and dpad. I kinda agree about the bumpers being kinda stiff, but I also have a first gen controller, the newer ones are supposedly much better. The only real problem is that I have to play it wired and the USB port disconnects when the wire isn't right.

Will Titanfall 2 be a bigger bomba than Battleborn and Evolve this year?

Depends on if you judge those things by actual sales or projected sales. I'd imagine the Battleborn devs would have been ecstatic to get the "disappointing" sales numbers of Titanfall 2.

Gentlemen, we can rebuild it. We have the capability to make the world's first enhanced store. Steam will be that store. Better than it was before.

Alright. Don't do back-to-back gaming in a franchise but Arkham Asylum was too good to not jump straight into Arkham City. In short, great game with certain bad decisions. I am glad I didn't get burnt out by so much Batman lately. If I had Origins and Knight, I'd probably plow right through those as well.

The story picks up shortly after the events of Asylum but with a bigger scope and more variety. If Asylum was an episode of a Batman cartoon, City feels like a season worth of adventures. I thoroughly enjoyed the many villains and their subplots. Gameplay-wise City adds a lot of new moves, gadgets and tactics to the playing field and it is mostly great. Some moves can be iffy to pull of. Perpetually gliding above to city is very satisfying. Just like in Asylum several buildings are harboring big levels and they were mostly well done. They are bigger and more complex now which coupled with the open-world feels like too much at the beginning but after a couple hours you'll feel very cozy and it becomes much "smaller" than at first sight. At certain parts of the story you take control over Catwoman. These were not bad. She lacks many of the gagdets and the gliding of Batman but I enjoyed the short bursts of change. The expanded universe of Batman available here is really awesome. Fascinating stuff like Wonder City alongside more traditional mob hangouts like the museum. The world and lore carried a great portion of the enjoyment for me.
On the negative side they overdid it with Riddler Trophies. Plainly, there are too many. I did collect every single one of them, for Batman and Catwoman. None was satisfying to obtain. Every 10m there is a trophy. Most are easy to get, some take a little - very little - effort. Asylum did a better job. Not too many as to make collecting them a chore and tying the world-building in a fun way to them. It's the small changes which make it worse in City. No longer are there Cassette Tapes to collect, which automatically play. They were about a specific character and would be located around the same level in Asylum and as you were exploring the level further, you were steadily learning more about that character. Now, you collect certain amounts of trophies and once you open up your journal, you get a message on which cassettes unlocked. Then you go to the character tab, open one character and choose the cassette to play. A big step back. At the very end, after having collected all Trophies (plus Riddles and breakable objects), I went to read the Journal entries. Makes me think they themselves didn't realize why their own Journal system worked so well in Asylum, now that they went and made it worse. Then there's the little things like the charming drawings from the comics which were replaced with pictures of game models in City.
One things which is absolutely badly done is tying Riddler's questline to the amount of Riddler Challenges obtained. After every 80 Challenges you proceed one step there. In total you need 400 Challenges to complete the quest, which I did. I don't like meaningless collectathon but I do play for stories, so I soldiered through. What a bad decision to set these requirements for Riddler's story.
A short word to the Harley Quinn DLC. Waste of time. Lacks good design of the main campaign. Felt rushed and half-assed. It's this kind of DLC which makes me only think about the wasted time and energy of the developers.

Overall the game is a worthy successor to Arkham Asylum with a better and bigger story, better and more bosses, a deeper atmosphere and even better gameplay.
Looking forward to getting my hands on Origins and Knight in the future.

That's dope of you. I totally forgot to enter from all my own gaming lately, lol

I might do something similar soon.

Some boss battles in Owlboy are really hard. And the introductions to these battles are unskippable.

Ugh, I am not looking forward to that, unskippable sequences are the worst. I am only an hour into the game though. The first boss encounter was entertaining, but a bit on the easier side.

I'm still rocking my 360 pad, I do have a PS4 but until the controller breaks I'm keeping it hooked to my PC, would be a waste to just lock it in a drawer.

Dishonored 2 is so good. And Watchdogs 2 might be good?

How about FF15, though? Place your bets.

After seeing the PS4 Pro footage, I'm convinced it will be good. I never questioned the quality of the content (because it's looked awesome for years) but the quality of the game's performance. That Episode Duscae demo was pretty rough.

Also the PS4 Pro footage lets me know that when it eventually comes to PC, it's going to look pretty great.

I'm just glad the combat system has improved. That was rough in both demos, so i'm glad to see that put the delay to good use.

With the Caveat that we might have to rely on Durante to save us from a horrible PC port again (a la FFXIII). That all said, I might hope they bother a bit more with this one since it is supposedly such a big deal for the company.

Damn man, I couldn't justify ever doing those and I beat the game twice. As far as I know they aren't as bad in Origins or Knight.

That Dualshock 4 controller? Lol. I hate the Dualshock controllers but I got two lying around thanks to my PS4.

I think I'll settle for pink because my white controller needs company.

Actually, it is not that bad after all:
  • Most of the time, the boss battles, that I thought were too hard, could be done smartly. If you feel like it is too hard, then try a different strategy, don't be like me trying again and again the same one.
  • I imagine the devs are super proud of their 2D sprites and art, so they want the player to watch it again.

Did someone play Desirè here?
It was bundled a couple of times, now it's 75% off on Steam, is it worth? Reviews are mixed.

Very unique game but also very disturbing story-wise, with dark themes involving bullying,
anal sex
in the toilets of the school, etc.

But is it good?

I would say average in terms of point-n-click. The atmosphere is strong but puzzles, dialogues and environment are average. No comparison with Day of the Tentacles Remastered for instance.

As some reviewers put it on Steam, do not expect poetry, it is really crude language and dark school & sex themes.
