I guess that's that :D

Unfortunately RotTR collectibles are mostly mediocre to bad.

I started it today, there are things I really like (in example the "adventurer" mood compared to Uncharted 4), but still the game proposes me that crafting crap I hated in the first game. Just give me a gun, I don't want to power-up Lara with new skill, but I need to do it in order to proceed, since I started the game on Survival. It's not hard at all, except from time to time in some encounters. And oh, I also hate the "you need X upgrade in order to visit this tomb"...why? I hate when a game tells me "nope, you need to backtrack here later, sorry but this is our way to increase the game's lenght, bye".

The tombs are optional, and what you described sounds like something from Metroid series.

I know, but I like the tombs, I mean, the game is TOMB Raider. But I would prefer having the option to complete the tomb as soon as I find it. Tomb Raider is not a metroidvania after all.

Youre not missing much anyway, most tombs are quick 20 minute puzzle rooms. Theyre only locked off because solving them is as easy as using the ability that you needed to get into them

Anyway it's astonishing how dumb the AI is in this game. Like you throw a bottle and it's 100% sure the dude won't turn around so you can stealth-kill him.

Even that's being generous. One of the tombs involves literally nothing more than taking a boat across a small body of water and running to the treasure. Squeenix said it was "bringing the tombs back to Tomb Raider", but, really, they're not much of an improvement at all.

How can I put the Lara's classic suit from old TR on?
I can't find it on the campfire.

Anyway what I always write about SE was confirmed to be true yesterday: Rise Anniversary 50% off and Hitman 50% off too (and it's still missing the bonus episode releasing in January).
Really SE doesn't give a crap with discounts for their IPs if not for Final Fantasy.

Is Gwent going to be f2p with purchaseable packs or do you need to buy the base game? Never played Witcher 3 so I don't have any experience, but people seem pumped for it.

F2P with purchaseable card packs. You don't need to play Gwent from W3, it's pretty different in the stand-alone game since CDPR added/changed a lot of stuff anyway.

Aaand done with Xanadu Next, such a good game! Just what I needed and wanted right now. Holds up really well for such an old game, though it did show it's age a little.

Litte bugged, for example achivements don't unlock and I had the missfortune of selling the first sword one gets from a chest and didn't get the skill whichs sucked.

So people recommended the Ys games also, I have Y's Origin, how does it compare to Xanadu Next?

I'm glad you liked it.

I am mostly ok with gameplay but man i am disappointed by tombs, enemy count, story and collectibles. You have languae system in game that you learn by finding documents and murals so you can translate monoliths that will reveal you coins that you can use for upgrade. So much busy work for upgrades that i mostly gave up doing them. You have challenges in game but for most of them you don't know what you need to do until you read it on the internet.

Also you have maps/satchels that reveal collectibles but guess what you need to find those maps without any clue so you can end up finding every collectible before you find that map/satchel. And things like that are ruining game.

Just finished Episode 3:1 of Resident Evil Revelations 2. Probably my favourite part of the game so far. Some good puzzles and good set pieces. Plus Moira telling someone to jump on a dildo :D

officially gonna be game pumping

I'm very tempted, might leave it as late as possible to see if there are any hints at the first game, but $20 for 13 games.......i don't think I can go wrong

Pretty sure you have to finish the main campaign to use them in the campaign. You can equip them through the card system for the other game modes though.

Reusing the old comic I drew last year since I don't have any prepared today.
Surprised people remembered because I haven't been here a lot lately.

Umh, card system? Is it a thing for other modes or what? Didn't see that in the main game yet.

Want to give this classic a go finally.

Something tells me it's not supposed to look like that.

The RE4HD mod is too close to the finish line that it seems silly to start the game now. Just wait a bit longer and it will more glorious.

Looked at some screenshort of Azure Dreams and it certainly looked interesting.:D Weird, I got that intense sense of recollection and complete unfamiliarity, like I've played the game but completely forgot about it.
It's one of the lesser known Konami games from that era I guess.
It's pretty unremarkable in most ways, but its localization stands out as being one of the most terrible ones I've seen, even on PS1 standards.
It does have the honor of having the first video game underboob I ever saw.

Damn, my HDD has become trash, launching games stored on there is always an unpleasant experience. On the other hand the SSD I've had for 3 years longer is still fast as hell.

A couple of weeks ago, the modder said that only 5 rooms remained in the base game.

– Environmental Textures
– Items and Weapons
– Enemies, NPCs, Playable Characters, Misc.
– Mercenaries, Separate Ways, and anything not covered above

The environments are only the first (and I think largest?) chunk. They still haven't started on the character/weapon models.

So I decided to go through my steam collection alphabetically, as I have nearly 200 games I've never or hardly played. I only have a fairly low-res laptop so I won't be able to play everything, but here's what I've tried so far...

7 Grand Steps: What Ancients Begat

Uhhhhh. I don't really know what's going on. I'm collecting beads and having sex and trying to keep away from crocodiles. I played this for about an hour and a half though so it must be addictive in a weird way...never going to play it again, though.

1001 Spikes

I love a good, hard-as-nails platformer, but this one falls on the wrong side of frustrating. The kind of trial-and-error game where you get a little bit further every time before dying over and over again. I got bored pretty quickly.

AaaaaAAaaaAAAaaAAAAaAAAAA!!! For the Awesome

I didn't think this would run well on my humble laptop, but it works fine. I struggled with this one at first, but once I switched to using the Steam controller I got into this pretty good and played for a couple of hours. This scratches a high score itch...definitely keeping this one installed.

Next: Absolute Drift and Abyss Odyssey

I paused my Humble Monthly subscription and noticed something interesting. It unpauses Feb 2017, which I guess means they're taking a two month break.

Humble megaton bundles are surely imminent.

What do you mean? Next billing date is the last friday of December for me which would imply they'll have a January monthly

maybe you paid for multiple months

Now that I've seen how the Steam distribution system works I find it even less fathomable why companies have users download GBs of audio and video data in languages that they aren't using, or massive patches. It's really quite well designed, and it's rather easy to prevent both of those scenarios.
