Wait. You could lift Saren!? lmao. I never knew that. I just use stasis and warp. The Colossus Armor look great! Especially the light male models. The female ones do look poorer.

Wrex's armor are slick as hell. Rage X. He looks like a tron enemy lol

Maybe you have to be an Adept? But I think I Lifted him as a Sentinel as well...

I did have both Lift and my class skill maxed out, so the powers were maxed.

That's why I still say biotics in the first game, while not as flashy and exciting, were the most useful. The fact that you have to remove shields and armour on enemies in later games before using them kind of ruins the fun.

Well that's why they give you powers like warp, overload and concussive shot. It is great pulling enemies then warping them and causing an explosion that damages nearby enemies. That was a smart move on their behalf.

Yeah, Biotic explosions are really great, although I tend to go Singularity -> Warp. It's why I now find myself torn between Engineer and Adept for the later games.

I do think I'm still holding on my favorite classes for each game:

ME1: Sentinel (Assault Rifle as secondary power)
ME2: Adept (Energy Drain as secondary power, so Shields are no longer a problem)
ME3: Engineer (I actually tend to go Defense Drone so I'm a one-woman army)

Oh, this is fun.

ME1: Sentinel, with Damping as a secondary. Being able to turn off enemy power users is HUGE, plus the Master Damping stun.

ME2: At this point I'm on Soldier, simply to experience the gunplay improvements, using Warp Ammo as a secondary; makes Collector missions a breeze, and doesn't get in the way of Adrenaline spam.

ME3: Engineer, ME3 insanity requires turrets & drones to draw fire.

Mass Effect Andromeda is 15% off for pre order. I have yet to pre-order it but I'm going in on the deluxe box edition on the PS4. I've been buying games digitally since the launch of the ps4 except for a couple games. I believe if you pre-ordered the game you retroactively receive the lowest price, right?

On Amazon? Yes.

As for me, I'm going crazy and double-dipping from the start. I'm getting a physical PS4 copy and then a digital PC copy. I just got a really, really great gaming laptop (includes a 1080) and I think I'm going to try out the PC version this time, assuming it supports controller.

Currently wondering if I should bother with ME2 texture mods or if it's not worth the hassle. I'm happy enough to play it for the first time in 1080p/60fps. Perhaps some tweaking with Nvidia Inspector would be enough ?
I'm gonna install the controller mod first thing though. And I need to find how to change the FOV.

I figure if you're going to install some mods, why not go whole hog?

Also, do you people think we'll get an actual release date tomorrow? My personal thought is that if they don't give a date tomorrow, there's no way the March 21 rumored date is real.

I'd be very surprised if we did. I think they gave us a vague spring release window because they're not confident enough to commit to a date yet. I don't think that will change before early next year

But that's my point. If they don't feel confident to give a date now, I don't see how they'd be confident releasing the game in March.

They never said they planned to released it in March though. That was just rumors as you said. It's Spring 2017 and that's it for now.
So really, if the game actually release in April or May instead and people complain, they'll only have themselves to blame for believing rumors. Now, if the game release in July or August, I'll join the club.

I've said it before, but I really don't see how this will release even this Spring given how the rest of the industry regards release dates these days. I know this is already supposed to be a shifted date, but even that means very little. I think optimistically speaking, they're saying "Spring 2017" because internally they had set March as their fall-back date, but are keeping it to a vague "Spring" just so they can fudge another month or two of bug fixing.

Anything particular you guys are looking for in tomorrows footage? If we are getting some planet traversal stuff I want to see the map for scale and how the Nomad handles difficult terrain.

How the gun play works. All DA and ME games allowed you to pause the action to line up attacks. I do it all the time in the mass effect trilogy so I am very curious to see how combat works now that we can't pause the game.

Having a quick look at combat, galaxy map, nomad exploration, interior of Tempest, dialogues changes, multiplayer... that's a lot to show in just a 4-5 mins trailer... hopefully we'll know enough to have a good idea what to expect.

FemRyder, It will start at the Tempest to show how everything is seamless, maybe they will show the armor/weapon/powers customization, then some Nomad exploration of a beautiful alien planet with some synth music, some casual conversations, dialogue wheel, then a fight showing how awesome the powers look in Frostbite, a lot of jetpack movement and verticality, then it will end most probably with a setpiece.
-Releasing spring 2017.

Then GAF usual suspects will moan about how it's a typical saturated open world, and is not a DEEEEP RPG anymore and some obnoxious DAI comparisons made with mental gymnastics, because of what that little 5 minutes gameplay didn't show.

I bet fifteen romanceable squad members that the footage showed on the Game Awards will feature BroRyder. The event is so 'Gamer culture' that I would be surprised to see Bioware Marketing move beyond what they have already shown to be their most prominent choice of character.

But that's just cynical old me.

No, I agree. All the talk about putting FemRyder front and center is going to turn out to be a bunch of nothing.

I really want to know what voice talent they're tapping for other characters known and unknown. They had such an all-star cast in the original trilogy with seth green, martin sheen, keith david, tricia helfer and others.

Prepare to be surprised then.

I would love to see:

Skll tree and specialist extensions (Vanguard etc)
Gunplay, combat and some cool biotics
Conversation with an interrupt that's not too spoilery story wise
Galaxy map and travel
Codex voice guy is back (BioWare, pls)

Anyone else ever tried the trash PS3 version of ME1 ? It's a glitchy mess with terrible framerate issues, audio bugs that cut out entire lines of dialogue at random, even menu bugs, AI bugs, complete system lockups, freezes during loading screens, and even a bug that can happen during the fight with Saren or during the loading screen afterward that can make finishing the game almost impossible. None of those bugs were ever fixed.

I just can't get anti aliasing to work on ME2, I've tried to force it through Nvidia control panel and it doesn't work. Hours lost. Fuck, at times like these I just want to go back to console gaming.

Yeah I'm gonna try. Time to google again.
The texture mods are working fine though.

edit: okay downsampling works fine now (I tried yesterday and it didn't, oh well), but now it looks like I'm sitting ten miles away from my desktop XD
The UI doesn't scale well.
