Uplay account "hacked"!

OK so not hacked as such but someone got access to my password somehow and completed Watch _Dogs 2 while I was at work all week ruining my save game since it all syncs with the cloud. They didn't bother to change the password just kept the old one and played my games I suppose the sneaky bastards. I thought something was fishy when I launched uplay and it said I had 17 hours played but it wasn't until I launched the game and my guy was standing on a motor way with most of the skills unlocked that the penny dropped.

I'm not really mad since I was only about 5 or so hours in but just had to share. Anything similar happened to you guys?

Alright well I hope you don't use the same info for a bunch of other stuff or you're about to be mad when you look at a bunch of purchases with your info.

Could it be a saved game was loaded to your account by mistake? Ubisoft was notorious for losing save data and other weird issue years back.

Yeah don't worry man only keep card details on certain sites with unique password but thanks for caring :).

I can imagine some guy at uplay head office yelling "JUST UPLOAD ANY SAVE HE WONT NOTICE" after some catastrophic server wipe lmao.

Yup someone got access to mine and played through The Division. Even changed all of my details. Found out today. Junk!

It happened to me while I was playing Watch Dogs 2, they changed my username and avatar and also seemed to enable 2FA. I had to call Ubisoft to get my account back.

Speaking of Uplay two step, the Google Authenticator, for whatever reason, decided to erase anything I had connected to it. Unfortunately, I did not have back up codes. The only way, apparently, to get back into my U-Play account is to call Ubisoft. There seems to be no other way to contact them.

Calling them up seems like such a bother, glad you guys got it sorted and that I didn't have to go to that extreme.

It actually wasn't a bother at all, the call probably took under a minute. They just wanted some basic details and my account was reset, it was maybe actually too fast since they didn't really do anything to verify my identity. :p

This actually happened to me. I didn't login into my Origin account for several months and once I regained access I found out that the guy put in a lot of hours with my games. 200+ hours in BF4 in particular.

This happened to me in origin.

Logged in for some free game, noticed my achievement points were higher than before. Checked last played games, Dead Space 3 with some co-op going on.

Too bad, that guy and his buddy didn't finish the game using my account.

not sure, but the other day uplay said my password was incorrect.
So I had to apply for a new one, so I might have been hacked, cause I had played far cry a few hours earlier.
