So far I have Yeti and Xmas Roadhog. All I want is Mei and Zenyatta though

I'm not an NPC. And neither are we.
Id put it under Junkenstein, but above Lucioball. All 3 have felt pretty half baked to me though.
The skins here are... not that good. Especially since XB1 got the patch for this and SMITE on the same day. Seeing all the voices and new effects that come with a SMITE skin, making each character almost feel like a new person... and then seeing skins here that are the focus of an event, and are basically just re-textures with 1 or 2 new pieces of geometry... it's just sad, because the rest of the presentation is so good.
And no matter what I do (freely), they refuse to give me anything I want a lot out of these winter loot chest, lol. I got Zarya's skin! .... Yay? I want Mei's, but really, I wish they;d put more work into making her look different.
Beyond that stuff though, this is some of the most fun I've had PLAYING the game since the Black Friday purchase of it. The amount of solid teamwork from randoms, the new feature that allows you to stay with a good group, and the changes to make Symmetra actually threatening and much more fun to play are all around just great. With this kind of support, the game is really staring to click with me. As a person who cares little for FPS but loves fighters with colorful character cast and unique abilities, it's quite a win.
Got a perfect no-lost-round Snowball fight in my first time through. I'll play it weekly, it's very Goldeneye "Man with the Golden Gun" like, but I'd rather stick to the Character-shuffling Mystery mode, which I've actually had some of my best fun of the game with.
I hope to get at least 1 holiday skin for a character I really like before this event is over. Or at least something cool for D.Va, who easily seems to be one of my best performers over all, and deserves awesome costumes for her and her Mecha. The quality that COULD be had from straight-up purchasable skins actually makes me wish there were some... but the quality is low enough on what the "free" ones change that I don't really feel much reason to spend money on loot boxes, as the ones given in game (even for a newbie like me who has very little overall) are full of mediocrity and repeats-a-hoy.

Just got D.VA's victory pose. It's nice I guess. Wish it was a skin with some more added on it.

"Hi there. Sorry you are disappointed with Mei's winter skin. We don't have a specific rule for what makes something Legendary or Epic. We just sort of make a gut call based off of what we think is cool. Coolness is very subjective, and based off of the community reaction it seems like our gauge was off on this one. Our reasoning for it being Legendary was that we completely redid the visual effects for Cryo-Freeze (we turned the ice block into a snowman). We thought that was pretty special and we had done it specifically based on community suggestions from months ago when people were speculating that we might have a winter event. Apparently, lots of people don't agree with us and that's ok. It's all good feedback and we're learning something for future events.
For people concerned that Mei is not going to get another Legendary for a long time, you need not worry. We have something pretty awesome for her early next year.

Isn't there 5 legendary skins instead of 4 like the Halloween event? Also Mei's skin is disappointing but it changes her cryo freeze and companion too and she gets a hat. Lol

Yeah that's why I wish they'd put more resources in to permanent skins.
I think the Halloween event had a lot more skins that look fine all year round, but that's also because its theme is costumes and all.
Junkrat was pretty good. Nice bit of story and pve.
Mei is eehhh. It's alright, but its no junkrat.

Yeah I was thinking that Mei is going to get some more love at Chinese New Year, which would make sense.

People keep saying this but Chinese New Year is Jan 28.
To have another event so shortly after would be cool, but I don't see that happening.
Doesn't have to be a event through. Could be a standalone skin and all.

Yeah.
They gave us two Reinhardt legendary skins without an event (if you don't count a new map as an event).

I think Blizzard farms out the holiday event costumes & animations to a Polish or Croatian company or something....? I remember reading it somewhere for the Summer Games event....
Fire anybody who comes up with determining the rarity for some of these skins.
Give a raise to the person who made the Zarya present taunt cause its fucking amazing.

Opened 7 boxes and got D.vas victory deal plus a Sombra emote. Paid $5 and got Zenyatta's nutcracker deal (which might be in the running for best skin, wow), Pharahs skin, junkrat scarecrow anddddddd Tracers elf skin.

I've gotten every legendary (including Zarya's emote) except for Zen's Nutcracker skin. Of course.
I know there's plenty of time left, but I'm impatient and probably won't get to play a lot after this week.

I've opened probably 15 boxes so far and only gotten Pharah's costume (which is cool since I use her pretty often in comp). Hope I can somehow get Zenyatta's skin before it's too late.

I don't understand why its not. Have it so the skin you had before equipping it has the lights. Would have been rad.
I'm still salty I only got the orange track suit Tracer skin, the other one with the GBR flag was the one I really wanted
But yeah I'll probably be rocking the Elf Tracer skin until March or so. Her guns look amazing with it and the voicelines are cool too.
