Yeah... Sure... NVIDIA and Nintendo being partners of course they're going to say it's an amazing piece of hardware and experience. They're the one providing the GPU.
Even rivals do that.

I read "it's really Nintendo" as "it's all on them when it inevitably crashes and burns".

My glass is permanently almost empty.

I read it as "don't expect a lot of functionality, expect tons of polish". Which in today's gadget market it odd, since everything is supposed to do everything.

If you copy and paste, you can see that he was actually referring to his friend Al, not A.I. Basically, his golfing buddy has nothing to do with the Switch.

Venture Beat on the phone with Jen-Hsun Huang: "Really? And consumers like it, huh? That is, that is, that is great. Uh, you mean “away,” though, right? Because otherwise it sounds a little different, but, uh, that’s, uh, that’s outstanding. You forgot to say “away” again. But listen, let me call you back in a bit, okay? Bye.

Switch will blown them all away."

But it has nothing to do with AI.

That is the point of his answer. He completely dodged what he was asked and then changed the subject. CES 2017 was all about AI for Nvidia. I mean even their new Shield TV is literally a repackaged 2015 Shield TV. Nvidia came to CES to talk AI and his answer ended with a nice way of saying stay on topic

Yeah, pretty much. He gave what he felt was a brief, complimentary response about Switch and then steered back on message.

I will say that there is nothing wrong in his statement , but the focus on the art , craft ,culture and experience of Nintendo rather been discussing some points about the power behind the console , I Should temper my expectations regarding the console Specs.

But its not my major concern regarding switch(third party support) , so i am good .

You're reading a lot into this

You know what, F that. I'm staying grounded. I'm sick of being hyped into oblivion and then crashing back to reality.

I am eagerly anticipating the presentation and that's IT. Bring the goods and I'll be thrilled. No pie in the sky anticipation from me.

Blown away if you've only had a 3DS sure. But certainly not if you've had any of the other consoles for the last 3 years.

Hype is typically silly when it comes to Nintendo. They tend to aim low with their hardware.

Getting Mario Kart 8 running on handheld in 2017 is at very least notable (well, OK we still need to see how well it will run on Switch).

CEO of company that makes chips for console says console will be good, more at 11.

What else would he say? "Yah, it'll be middling at best. Don't get your hopes up too high, it's probably not Pascal."

Sigh.

Luckily we have alot of not so silly hype on the software part, which obviously is hard to believe for people like you who only like to focus on hardware power.

"Nintendo Switch is already inside your eye."

But yeah, of course Nintendo's partner in this project are gonna drive up the hype machine for this when pressed. And thing is, people were impressed by the whole 'console you can take with you' aspect being shown to work, even if it made certain it's gotta be underpowered compared to the rest of the current generation. So yeah, doesn't have to mean a thing.
