Maybe the translation is inferring something that he isn't intending, but it sure sounds like Aonuma just hinted that Zelda is playable.

Wha--??

Where!?!

I mean...she probably is. Aonuma just likes to mess with people a bunch. He even said, if Hyrule Warriors does well, he'd do it....Didn't he say that?

He's such a troll sometimes. xD

game looks amazing but this really is the only game id pick up on switch untill mario.

Bad as it sounds, Im debating buying one to play zelda then sell straight away.

I have never understood this unless you can make your money back but chances are you will lose quite a bit.

Where are you even getting this from

1)On the back of the map for the collectors edition it shows the four bosses with gannon in the middle.
2) There are four pillars surrounding hyrule caste
3) There was a rumor of 4 dungeons

I think we can conclude that you have to beat the four bosses, my argument is that they are dungeons because

They exist on their own outside of boss rooms
They are too big to be taken down from the outside
Watch the new trailer, it looks like a shrine but it appears Link is actually inside one after they show it.

To me I've always assumed (based on art direction and inclusion of the Koroks) that this is somewhere in Wind Waker's timeline.

That leaves room for it to be directly in between OoT and WW. The timeline where Ganon is revived from the Sacred Realm, and Link was an adult and is defeated. It also makes sense that there are Goron and Zora, who died out prior to Hyrule being flooded.

And if that's the case, wouldn't it be interesting if this game actually ends with Link being defeated, and the Goddesses flooding and sealing Hyrule?

I'm so hyped for this game.

Anything pre-flood era would have to be ultra depressing... It's "Valley of the Flood" all over again.

I'm not convinced, but during his appearance on the Treehouse stream he was showing off the Zelda and Link Amiibos, and pointing out all their similarities, saying (paraphrasing) "You'll notice Zelda has the same blue tunic, and also has the same tablet that Link has! We'll leave it at that so you can discover yourself what that might mean."

I don't think they'd have that other female character who needs rescuing if Zelda wasn't also playable.

Actually I guess that's just Zelda dressed differently.

So...

She's a non-canon DLC Amiibo partner character.

Would be cool if Zelda steps up as the hero in a world without Link.

Then they both intersect 100 years later.

Or something to that effect.

I'd really like that.

Reading Hyrule Historia, it seemed to imply Zelda had to haphazardly do a bunch of stuff on her own after Link "failed" to stop Ganondorf.

Reading that random "what-if" scenario was infuriating...but actually placing it into the game would actually...be nice.

Voice acting comparison.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O7YVjEpR7jg

I understand four of the languages here and they all sound great. Disney tier work.
Multi7 please

The castillian spanish one is top tier work. Hearing it more with the "open your eyes" part I sadly dont think that Zelda is Nuria Trifol (although the voice is really similar) but the whole cast is very remiscent of when the dub Ghibli movies to spanish (so mostly using catalonian voice actors).

The american dub seems to be really meh in comparison to all the others. Whats the problem with nintendo of america and voice acting?

And I suppose the one after english is russian. Seems Nintendo really wants to get inside that market.

I did the same exact thing playing the demo.

Killed myself twice with those bombs. The control scheme is very different from previous Zeldas. The "Sword" button is now the "Bomb/detonate" button.

I feel this man/woman's pain.

Man Zelda crying in Jap vs Eng . What a difference it is. Who voices Zelda ,she is terrible in this

I actually thought she sounded good in that scene for every language. Although...I think Germany really nailed it.

Pretty much what I'm thinking as well. Though, it does appear that these huge boss dungeons roam, so I'm expecting more involved interactions than what you'd normally see from a Zelda dungeon or boss.

Possibly Nintendo has finally found the right hook for the muti-use dungeon they've ben kick around for awhile. Temple of the Ocean King, Spirit Tower, Forsaken Fortress, ect.

Or maybe the dungeon's solutions can be dynamically affected by the current location it happened to roam into. Or alternately, the environments could altered by the traveling dungeons.

Its either that, be stuck with a console which i wont play after zelda untill next xmas or dont buy it at all and miss out on a great game.

I probably will try to resist

The Treehouse footage shows that the horses have stats and they said the ones with the higher stats will be harder to tame.

I thought I also heard something about breeding the horses, am I mistaken?

or perhaps just keep it and then be able to get Mario when it comes out?

your way will end up with you paying more money longterm. If money is that tight, then just wait until more games it out. The games aren't going anywhere after all.

I don't know how you can look at art like this and think she isn't playable, at least to some extent:

Oh she'll be playable with that outfit alright, in the next Smash Bros.

I don't think that design implies she's playable or that it even got much discussion by the dev team.

I didn't even realise the english voice acting trailer was up.

I was shitting bricks watching it, as voice acting can ruin a game for me.

Verdict: Not particularly great, but thankfully (thank god!) it should be good enough to get by. Zelda's VA fluffed the crying scene though.

How many Nintendo games actually have dual audio?

They usually include it when there's room, and since this game is only 13GB hopefully it will have it. Off the top of my head both Bravely games had it, Fire Emblem Awakening, Fatal Frame 5, Xenoblade, Bayonetta 2, Wonderful 101, probably some others I'm not thinking of as well.

I caved in and watched the trailer.

I must say it's incredible in every way but I just cannot get over the voice acting. It doesn't belong to Zelda and eats away the mysterious feeling it has had for decades.

Bummer.

What a weird sentiment. I think the voice of the Old Lady and the Deku Tree are cool and add gravitas. Zelda's voice is slightly jarring because I never imagined her with a British accent, but I think I'll probably like it once I play the game.

Cool Facts: Game of War has been a hit since July 2013
I don't see how they would make Zelda playable, it looks like she has her own part in the story. It would be amazing if you did unlock her in the mid/late game, even though I doubt she would play much differently then Link.
