I wasn't sure if the leak was real when I first read it (I was trending towards "fake" honestly), but it definitely felt more believable than most fake leaks, so I took it somewhat seriously. Fake leaks are usually really easy to spot, as they tend to be full of "fan fiction" type games like Metroid, F-Zero, Wave Race, etc. and they sprinkle heavily rumored games (like the Mario x Rabbids RPG) or already-announced titles to make it seem legit. This leak was full of stuff the average "leaker" would never even think to include, like ARMS, 1,2 Switch, and a freakin' Street Fighter II update.

This is correct.
The Smash Bros development cycle is good for one thing: it teaches you how to spot a definite fake, a likely fake, and a "this is just depressing enough to be true" leak.

I mean, 4chan is probably the safest place to leak things and not get caught.
Interesting that the list turned out to be true. I was right that there would be a straight up negative reaction if it did turn out to be true. Sheesh. At least the negativity seems to have subsided. Not sure how it went for the leakers, but I think people should be careful in what they believe and how they interpret "leaks". I think the leaks really messed with people's expectations.
As of now. Things change. Especially for unannounced games.

Nah, makes sense. Zelda is the thrust of the reveal and Skyrim/FIFA was the upfront reveal since Skyrim was in the pre-reveal, and E3 is three months later.
Look at how Fire Emblem got a five second shot and then a direct after even though its a big IP for them now.
Can i ask you one thing? The game that is being remastered ( R *) is available on current gen console ?

The current message out there is that the third party lineup this year is worse than on WiiU...

To be fair, Namco a while back since tweeted they were "thinking about it" out of pretty much nowhere way after Verendus suggested it was in the works for sometime in the future.
And who really knows if Suikoden might have existed before Konami imploded their games division lol. I don't think anyone saw them canning Kojima and then almost all of the rest of their game development back then.

Of our regular twitter "leakers" Emily was on point for most part and continues to be so. Most of her info correlated perfectly with what we we got, and she didn't discredit the 4chan leak unlike others.

Most of those fake leaks are memeleaks (my dad works for reggie kind of leak). Pretty easy to spot actually.
And /tv/ has a completely different culture from /v/. /tv/ doesn't actually leak anything ever

There is really no benefit in leaking on Gaf. On 4chan you are nothing but a number.

It is basically a dumping ground for BS leaks, but there has been a lot of legitimate information posted there first. It's very easy to remain anonymous and get drowned out, only for people to realize you were legit after it comes true. Several Pokemon leaks came from there, and not a huge laundry list of features, but just short posts revealing story info no one could have guessed. It's extremely difficult to parse what's real and what's not, so you've only got to rely on common sense and faith.
I didn't see the 4chan leak beforehand, but I did see people mention it during the conference and looked it up. I was pretty shocked, but there were at least some surprises like Xenoblade 2.

Why was Verendus banned? He was always positive the FF VII Remake was being developed, and that seemed impossible at the time, yet here we are.
He did get right, free internet at launch and could be paid later, shin megami tensei Switch
Some of the other stuff could come later, but those are not easy guess
he said a lot of vague bullshit too. i think the actual straw was when he lied about playing final fantasy xv
