Hopefully this can become a regular thing, a monthly protest to remind the bigots and their supreme leader that people aren't going to sanction their fuckery.

That would require the country to not be in a perpetual state of amnesia.

The damage done by Trump and his court pics have to potential to impact the next 100 years but will be forgotten by the public within 10. We have already seen this with Bush, even people here give him a pass.
Bush doesn't get a pass, he was just a moron sometimes, but not a malicious moron. He was a decent dude

It's really incredible and uplifting seeing these protests. So many people coming together, really puts some optimism in me that we can do something.

Definitely gonna donate and see if I can still get out there.

Didn't Nixon resign after this style of protest?

Come on Trump, leave.

Nixon resigned to avoid being convicted of impeachment by Congress. The impeachment by Congress had already begun and was going to pass, the next step would have been conviction of the impeachment charge which would have also passed after the Watergate scandal.

He resigned to avoid being the first US president removed from office by Congress, the protests had no real impact on his decision. You could argue the protests helped convince Congress to proceed with the impeachment trials of Nixon, but at the moment few would agree that there is any chance of impeachment trials being held against Trump. Maybe in the future, if its proven he had colluded with Russia or future actions that turn out to be illegal.

So many great, inspiring speakers today. i really think we're witnessing the reignition of a real progressive populist movement that will replace the corporate democrats.

Image removed - brings down an otherwise amazing thread

Thankfully you're already gone but when you come back to read the replies I want you to know one thing: People like you are the problem and we will not "sit down/shut up" and watch you turn the world to shit.

makes me wonder what trump would've tweeted if they hadn't taken away his smartphone for this. you know it would've bothered him.

Just elect Ellison already and lets do this.

I was a Perez guy, but after hearing/reading Ellison's interview with Ezra, I'm ready for him to take over asap. Seems like he understands the importance of this job and the nuances between him and Perez are not major enough to cause disunity for the Dems.

I'm in Ft Wayne, IN, gonna head to the march soon. Didn't even know there was one here but my girlfriend called and said she was going to photograph the event so I'll tag along and show whatever support I can.

Reading awful remarks by women on a local news station comments section about the local march in a very red state is very very sad.

I wonder if that troll was the same dipshit at the Pensacola march holding up a "deserved to be raped" sign while hiding behind a mask.

Typical chickenshit males who think they should control everything and everyone.
