As you can see in the pictures, the weather was pretty crappy here today (basically misting all day), and a lot of people just went down to the march in DC. Still, ~50k wasn't bad at all!

Park Police have helos. Coast Guard does too. I don't actually watch local news, but I'd imagine that news services would have them as well. I'm not chalking this up to anything more than an oddity, but I do know that aerial shots of pink converging in DC is certainly something that Trump wouldn't like.

My brother's 15.

My dad feels he has to teach us conservative ideals so we won't be swayed by the propaganda of those liberals teaching in school and college. Thankfully, my brother is smarter than that. He was learning about climate change in school, and fired back with "You think you know more than my science teacher? What are your sources and evidence?" when dad went off on a 'it's all a hoax' rant

Still, I have to talk to him more. I think the approach of 'You already think dad doesnt know anything about climate change and evolution, why do you believe him about political issues' might be effective

Something will erupt as soon as the Evil Trump Regime enacts something heinous and has their Republican cronies push it into law.
Right now they're too occupied with coddling Donny's hurt feelings to bother with that.

Leaving the Tulsa march I passed a loner standing outside the park. He was wearing a Deplorable Lives Matter shirt. I asked him where his girlfriend was.

He was not amused.

I couldn't attend but there were around 5,000 people at the march here in Boise, Idaho while it was snowing. As a side note, seeing some of the Princess Leia posters made me choke up a bit.

It's important to me. Two years ago, I was totally on my dad's side; the only perspective I had was Fox and what he was telling me about politics. We'd laugh at and mock the ideals of my liberal political history professor while driving home.

GAF, especially the Ferguson live stream threads, opened my eyes. It was shocking to see the protests live, hear their concerns and anger, discuss the issues on GAF, and then hear Fox, right wing radio, and my dad talk about the rioting anarchists the next day.

So I don't want my brother to get sucked into that same quagmire, especially when he's so young and at the critical moment in his schooling and life

All I have to say is that it is awesome to see so much people protesting.

I don't remember who said that it is constant fight because when we blink is when minorities rights are dropped, so we have to fight more and more.

proud of the city. definitely willing to bet a decent number who would've been there went to DC instead. i know i would've.

I went to the DC one today with my wife. The line to get into the metro for people who already had a metro card was about an hour. Everyone was in such good spirits and polite, it was a great environment. This was an experience I was glad to participate in.
