I just Matt Thorson to make a fantastic game, and it looks like it controls very similarly to Towerfall, so this looks wonderful.

[EDIT: Just incase anyone is curious, as I was, it's not Switch exclusive, coming to Steam and PS4 also]

Something something no d-pad something something.

The only thing holding the Switch back from being the ultimate portable machine, but fortunately, its omission only affects certain games. Hopefully a left joycon with a d-pad is being prepped for launch sometime this year .

Game looks great.

Nice. I haven't really heard of this, but I loved Towerfall the few times I actually got people to play it with me on my couch. Its lack of meaningful SP content and online MP really hurt it for me. This seems like more of a SP game?

I might prefer getting this for the Switch over my PS4. Just seems like something that would be nice to have on a portable and on my TV.

EDIT: Oh right, no D-pad. Well, that's out.

Calling it: When Nintendo releases the next 2D Mario game, they'll bundle it with a pair of special JoyCons that forego the analog sticks in favor of proper D-pads.

Call it the JoyCon Classic™.

Hmm, it's not exactly a new trend that a lot of indies are skipping Xbox One. I guess the weird thing could be seeing Switch preferred ahead of it.

If I was making a platformer, I would probably make an effort to launch it on a console that has an audience that's always been very receptive towards them.

Speaking of which, are Towerfall or any similar games in the Samurai Gunn vein announced for Switch also? System seems like a natural fit for it with a second set of joy cons

Well there's definitely a bigger audience for retro 2D platformers on Nintendo platforms.

Looks potentially quite fun. The general look of the levels makes me wonder if this is a somewhat return to his Jumper roots (Ogmo as unlockable character please). I'll certainly keep an eye out for this.

The lack of Xbox One support is weird.

I doubt it'll be bundled and I wonder if they'd really wait for a 2D Mario, but that all sounds really reasonable.

Towerfall was GREAT! So I'm really looking forward to this one. Hopefully its a solid game as well.

If you haven't played Towerfall try it out. Multiplayer especially is great.

Hopefully this means Noel's (one of the people working on this) other game will come to Switch too.

Very psyched to see this coming to Switch. Hope Towerfall comes over too, because it's perfect for Switch.

I want all of the recent local multi indie games now. Samurai Gunn on Switch would be soooooooo good. Going to ask the DunkLords guy about that game.
