So the whole, It feels as if Microsoft has more exclusives because they release their biggest games at the end of the year and the Oscars nominations is not an important point that I regretted keeping in couple of minutes later after the fact.
One poster on the second last page posted a list of games that Sony is going to, plans to release throughout the year. One, half of them are remasters. Two, I don't count VR sins I don't own it and the absolute biggest majority don't either. Thirdly, until Uncharted, GT sport and Knack 2 has a date for this year and is a month out from release I won't count it.
Sony absolutely DID release quality games this year, hell Horizon is fantastic and yet we're 3 months in this year with 9 months to go. Couldn't Sony have released Gravity rush 2 in May or the Summer and horizon at the end of march and having Nioh and Yakuza being the only exclusives in the 3 first months? Instead they put almost everything out at the start for than having almost nothing latter.
And the problem that Sony announces games way to early and than later we start questioning where are the said game is? Say Detroit, Dreams or Wild.
And besides this is how I feel about it, not that you can't disagree with me or criticize my point I'm just summarizing my feelings on the matter at least what I'm trying to do.

Definitely exciting that Nex Machina will be out so soon. Resogun is one of my favorite games of the generation and I loved Alienation, too.Uhh Nex Machina in May, very excited for this one. I had a lot fun with Alienation

I'm excited about it too, but it's not a Sony game and this is a Sony thread.
oh you're right, it's self-published
I'm glad Sony doesn't slow the pace and just keeps pumping titles this year. May already has Farpoint and Nex Machina.
Anyway, does anyone know what FuturLab is making? I know they're not Sony's studio, but I kinda associate them with Playstation. All they did since Velocity 2X in 2014 was porting the game to other systems through the next year. I loved Velocity and I thought they were going to be the next big indie studio.
It's like we're going in circles with this shit XDHow did I know he/she was going to dismiss the entire list not my first rodeo on gaf

Patapoon Remaster
The same logic applied to any other console manufacturer makes the PlayStation lineup look even better. Eliminate all titles heading to hardware that the majority doesn't own (that gets rid of Switch and arguably even Xbox One titles with a single line of reasoning), and then get rid of anything that doesn't have a concrete release date (that eliminates any Xbox exclusive that leaps to mind even before applying the "that releases in the next month" clause.)
Denying that Sony is in a strong position this year is to simply deny reality. Whether these titles or another manufacturer's titles appeal more is going to be an individual and unarguable thing. Diversity is good and competition is healthy. I just hope the competition shows some real strength before long, and in the meantime I'm enjoying the heck out of the PS4 releases ... and Zelda.
Dunno if these were posted at the time:
Wild Sheep Studio posted a few pictures this year on their FB. Last summer, Shu tweeted about his visit.
Pixelopus (Entwined) posted a tweet about hiring an environmental artist last August.
Glad you enjoyed the panel video Felipe! You'll be hearing from us soon - just a bit longer to wait!
I think Wild will be a more sandboxy kind of open world. Horizon open world is really just big stage for the combat to shine. While my expectation with Wild is that you can get real creative with your animal transform skill and have tons of way on how to achieve your goal. It's definitely time to see more of Wild; hopefully with a release window in the least. I just hope it has its own distinct elements as Sony are doing a lot of open-world games at the moment.
I've learned to never try to analyze anything Kojima posts on Twitter. He's so eccentric and has kind of become a caricature of himself. And I mean that in a loving way! ^_^
Is this hinting a new character, i don't think its del toro
come onnnnnnnnn Idris Elba
come onnnnnnnnn Idris Elba
It's Laurence Fishburne, he was in Hannibal along with Hugh Dancy who is also in the picThat's it, its definitely a hint about him, look at the color of the lego.
you sir is the greatest detective in all babylon!!

They were working on another game before the VR game, but it was cancelled. We never saw anything on it, but the studio lead, James, often spouted out about how much he was loving it.
I don't disagree with you. MM is a special studio, but it's still owned by by a publicly traded corporation. So if the game bombs because Sony fucked up marketing the game and their shareholders demand someone to take the blame, it's not going to be the Sony execs that take the fall but the studio. Also, I didn't suggest MM is in danger after Tearaway. I said MM could be in danger if Dreams bomb, which would make it two flops commercially in a row. Again, my original comment was regarding which 1st party studio is in most danger to be shut down next. So if you disagree about MM, that's perfectly fine, but do share what studio you think is in more danger and we can have a conversation about it.
Bend is definitely in more trouble. MM generated a ton of revenue for Sony with LBP 1 and 2. What has Bend done in the last decade?
not sure, if it already was mentioned, but here's a new project from FireSprite The Persistence → https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efQ_a2fR8rU

Looking at the big picture here reminds me how great a setup WW studios are.
Days Gone is their shot. Let's see how it goes. And that's why I don't blame them for throwing zombies in a game, it's survival for them too!
Shinobi will save us next month.Y'all need some leaks or something the doomed gloom constantly with studios ugh
Worried for Sony Bend and Sucker Punch, two open world games post Horizon/Zelda. It's not gonna be easy.
I could see them acquiring Quantic Dream if Detroit is a successI hope it does well because I don't want see Sony close another first party studio and I really like premise of the game. Also if it gets closed I doubt they will replace it. They have not built or purchased a major studio in a while. I think they have trimmed enough fat at this point. Honestly don't think Guerrilla Cambridge should have been closed.
Sucker Punch will be safe I think. Every game they've made with Sony has been profitable. It would take a mega bomb for them to be in any troubleWorried for Sony Bend and Sucker Punch, two open world games post Horizon/Zelda. It's not gonna be easy.
Horizon and Zelda are toward the top in terms of best open worlds this gen. Bend and SP can do fine even if they aren't as good.Worried for Sony Bend and Sucker Punch, two open world games post Horizon/Zelda. It's not gonna be easy.
