Number 5 oh my word, I need to head to that forest full of busted guardians after knowing that.

Death mountain is field with guardians you cant search, lol didnt even think to try and move them. I'm at Death mountain now, so I know what i'm doing when I get home.

On this note:

Figured out yesterday that Bomb Arrows will spontaneously explode on Death Mountain.

Which is like, duh of course they will, but I didn't even think about it until I'd blown myself off a mountain into a river of lava.

Lol! This happened to me while fighting a big Rock golem. I thought they were exploding because he was punching my arrows. After the 3rd time I was like "ohhh...it's reacting to the heat". Lol.

Holy shit, there's a bunch of stuff I didn't know.

5) If you use boulders, Cryonis, or other tricks to lift or dislodge an old rusted guardian you'll find more ancient materials underneath it.

19) You can burn off a Hinox's leg armor to do more damage to it with your weapons.

20) Bokoblins and other monsters can be distracted by apples or other food you drop and will rush over to eat it.

22) Shooting a metal box in an enemy camp with an electric arrow creates a huge damaging electric field.

24) Bomb arrows don't work in the rain — they just fizzle out.

25) You can farm bomb arrows this way. Find a camp where the sentries wield bomb arrows, and go there in the rain. You can pick up all their unexploded shots.

26) On the other hand, bomb arrows taken out in extremely hot environments will instantly detonate.

27) If you cut down a tree with a flameblade it makes a campfire instead of a stack of wood.

29) Looking for a shrine? Look up — shrines usually have a group of birds circling above them.

32) Birds can be startled into flying into thorns or other dangers, killing them.

44) The Rito Village music theme can change and evolve based on what side quests you've completed and which musicians are back in town.

56) Your unsupervised horse will steal apples from offerings, making it harder to complete a Korok challenge.

All stuff I didn't know.

This game just keeps on giving.

1) If you throw a rusty weapon at some Octoroks, they will suck it up and spit back out a cleaned, new weapon.

Wow. This game. I swear. I had no idea. I just read the OP list, don't wait to spoil the rest for me.

Knew most of them but some of them like #5 and #7 were new to me. That's pretty cool!

I love the amount of little things like these in the game that elevate it above a lot of others.

Not sure I want to read the list for fear of spoilers, but I noticed last night that the hyrulean hood (the one with cape) doesnt flap about when you have weapons on your back, but if you remove them all it flaps about in the wind and looks amazing.

I so have to play this game. And when I suggested long ago that Zelda had to go open world people wanted my head.

To be fair, even though this was my most hyped game of all time, I did not think they'd execute it as well as they did. I think this game surprised even the most hardcore of fans.

I wonder how decent that new weapon is. probably not so great after getting the best weapons lol.

That's an awesome detail.

A few of these I definitely have to try out, and some I discovered by accident.

I was able to reflect small Guardian lasers, but not the big ones.

77 - Why does the Lynel have his hit points visible? Is this an option to turn on?

79 - I did not know that even more powerful versions of enemies keep respawning after being killed. Very cool. Should always allow for a challenge. Wonder if there is a cap.

I was in a shrine that dealt with carrying an ice cube through some obstacles, it kept melting on me and I was going absolutely crazy, 10 min later I realized I had the flame sword equipped lol

No mention that the walking Guardians weak point is
underneath, like a turtle and if you knock them over or cut the legs off and flip them you can do massive damage to their bellies.

So many things that i did not know, would have made the playthrough a lot easier. Still remember me running around in the mountain after the first hour and just eating like a crazy man because i did not know that you could make cold resistent food by adding chilli or using a torch.

Pretty sure you can
knock their spinning fan thingies off with an arrow and crash.

I am surprised that they didn't add that you can shield surf and shoot arrows at the same time, as well as do a trick while surfing. Also you can surf and jump and paraglide with your shield still out. I kinda wish shooting arrows while doing this would slow time for a bit and use stamina.

They also didn't get into how broken Stasis in the game is, and can be used to solve shrine puzzles. Like riding a barrel high up to paraglide into the altar.

What else...

You can climb a horse from all 4 sides, as well as land on it from paragliding. You can even call the horse, and meet it while its running to climb it as it runs which is pretty badass.

You swim faster without clothes on. Tho you die if you get attacked lol.

I've had several NPCs react to things that i do.
Like a Zora on top of the tower, he is afraid of jumping down so i set a bomb to see if he would fall down. He stumbled and almost fall, then asked me very alarmed if i just tried to push him. haha

You can light a torch by laying it on the ground and putting a flint next to it and then smashing down with any metal weapon. This proofed useful a couple of times.

I do wish that the different stages of the moon in the game would give you different amounts of light. A new moon making it way darker.

What else... im sure i will think of more little details.

EDIT: i just remembered. You can sneak on to a Hinox hand that it lays down while its sleeping and it will put you on its stomach. From there its easy to grab weapons or orbs that they might have on their collars.

Also. When climbing. When you are on the last stamina and it goes to red, you can do the jump up and it will jump almost twice the distance than an original jump up. Its quite handy for when you're almost at the edge and might not make it.

EDIT 2: When you're next to cliffs from open plains you can see the wind pick up. Specially if you go into a canyon like area the wind tunnels through it. You can use those currents to ride them, or use their physics with bombs and what not.

Link will also look at points of interest and objects around him.

Fact 101: You can climb everything in the game, except the damn shrines lol.

That's not true. You cant climb inside Divine Beasts. You can't climb inside shrines. You also can't climb the evil looking pillars around Hyrule Castle and there are some rooftop chimneys that you can't climb to the very top because the top structure obstructs your climbing ability. It's pretty silly when you think about how Link can climb way more difficult stuff and while almost horizontal (back facing down).

I think some towers and stables have unclimbable sections at the top, or at least blocked off from normal climbing but reachable if you glide onto them.

I also found a weird patch of slope/wall in the very end of the north east part of Hyrule that can't be climbed for no reason. This section of the map also has an invisible wall to the north that stops forward movement and an onscreen message saying you can't go any further.

Came across my first bear the other day. I think it was a little ways out from Fort Hateno. Managed to mount it and calm it down. Rode around on it for a bit, but got knocked off of it by some bokoblins. It ran off and I wasn't able to catch up to it again. I was quite sad. That bear and I, as brief as it was, formed quite a bond. :(

really wish i could register a bear or a moose as my mount instead of a horse. please?

Every NPC reacts if you swipe at them with a weapon or aim an arrow in their direction. Some NPCs such as Gorons knock you down (no damage) if you mess with them.

Is it quicker to swim with Zora gear or without clothes? Im guessing the former.

Yea. they get startled if you plop your weapons out which is neat. Some will go into combat pose too.

On the swimming, i would like to say the Zora just because of the stamina you use. But i have compared them.

Neither Youtube nor Google image search produces any image of Link riding a moose.

The IGN story links to another story about all the things Link can ride, and it doesn't mention or show moose.

I have put considerable effort into riding a moose and failed. I've ridden
bears, Stalhorses, The Lord of the Mountain, deer/elk, and the giant horse. And Zelda's white horse
. But I couldn't get a moose. Or
an ostrich or rhinoceros
, for that matter.

Conclusion: you can't ride a moose.
