I can't vouch for the story as I haven't read/watched that JoJo arc (that said, the plot's core is average, it's the execution and characters that are stellar), but you have incredibly bad taste if you think Persona 4 has bad music.

But yeah, I'm pretty disappointed that GAF managed yet again to turn a perfectly good thread into "complaining about games I don't like thread #10223689".

This is one of those cases where fixing the links left me much more confused than before. :D I kind of could see the resemblance to Punch Out, but expecting Day of the Tentacle? Huh?

I really don't get this one either.

I guess if you read it as "played Demon's Souls [probably close to launch-ish], expected shitshow b/c no-name [for all intents and purposes] JP studio making bizarro western fantasy rpg, got wtf this is so hard/instadead" it works? *shrug*

As someone who knows literally nothing about metal, can you explain to me what the problem with the Doom soundtrack is? It didn't do all that much for me, but I originally thought that was maybe because of my lack of any metal knowledge.

I was so hyped for it. I can't believe they wasted all of the potential they had on that horrible blemish on the Metroid franchise.

If they ever try to do something similar to Other M again, they should have Platinum Games make it.

What little I head about that soundtrack is absolutely disgusting, but thankfully I don't care about the game itself so I'm not sad that it has a godawful soundtrack. :)

Not necessarily bad, but I do find P4's music a downgrade from P3
along with everything else
, bit disappointing to be honest. Also, you can find people shitting on MGSV and ME3 in this very thread, yet both of them have amazing Metacritic score.

Man, P3 music is god tier, and this is coming from someone who usually hates J-pop. Hardly a fair standard to compare to!
And while I can give that P3's story and setting was cooler, P4 is better for me in terms of characters (Kanji da man) and dungeon variety.

You won't find them saying that MGSV and ME3 have "some" diehard fans, however, which is the statement I was replying to. :D
Interesting that you mentioned these two specifically, as I have zero interest in playing either even though I consider MGS1 and ME2 among the best games of all time.

I've said it before in other threads but I was really, truly, somehow against all odds hoping that it'd be in the tracks that PSX Doom and Doom 64 had carved prior. Doom 64 for example with that updated tech and some serious HR Giger/Beksinski/whatever art towering over you in 3D would've been pure bliss for me.

Expected a wannabe Walking Dead drama set in the Borderlands universe.

Got a very comedic adventure with the voice talent of Patrick Warburton (as the antagonist). There's a number of specific details that would be better fleshed by playing the game, but that's partially what this meme works on I suppose.

In short, it turned out to be a very good thing.

Tales from the Borderlands exceeded my expectations for it. I actually think it's better than the TWD games of the same ilk, mainly because the comedic aspect fits better into the universe in Borderlands, so you get a bit of a broader brush in terms of content.
