Yes! I need more Yoko Taro in my life!
Platinum's engine is probably a lot easier for them to tweak on a foundational level. From what I can tell this is similar to the Revengeance engine, just modified.
One of the reasons game companies use their own internal engines is so they can tweak things all the way up. You need to really dig through something like UE4 comparatively and it's not even developed inhouse, and you don't have the same sort of experience, say, Epic has working on its own engine.
$60 * 206,249 * 0.7 = $8.66 million.
I imagine that's around half the budget of the full game recouped on just the PC version already.
Human Revolution sold some amount way over 200k on Steam its first week, iirc.

to be fair, lots of people didn't spend that much between regional pricing and places like GMG carrying it.
My GoTY already.
Best game I've played in years.
Funnily enough the biggest discount I saw for this in USD was like $10. There weren't a lot of deals to be found at least in the US.to be fair, lots of people didn't spend that much between regional pricing and places like GMG carrying it.
I will, once Squeenix stops hating on my region and AMD cards. So well deserved. Play this game, friends.
I'm in SEA and will be seeing full price here.to be fair, lots of people didn't spend that much between regional pricing and places like GMG carrying it.

Where were all these people when the masterpiece NieR was released? -_-
... On PC?Where were all these people when the masterpiece NieR was released? -_-
It wasn't on Steam.Where were all these people when the masterpiece NieR was released? -_-
Between PS4 Japan and Steam it's already at 500k. Add in NA and Europe and this could be a million seller.

It is extremely obnoxious how people keep insisting on this. And for such a bad port too. Unfortunate.
For the sake of your sanity, MSAA should be forever disabled on all default presets 😁It is extremely obnoxious how people keep insisting on this.
Why people insist every late port is due to double-dipping? it could be resourcing and bandwidth limitations.Maybe SE will understand now that double dippers market doesnt exist and that you dont want to miss launch marketing hype.
I mean, it has other issues. Some of those niggles have been corrected with FAR. The other issues stem from their rather weak engine. So it isn't a port problem the engine affects all versions. For the sake of your sanity, MSAA should be forever disabled on all default presets 😁

Crashes still don't mean a bad port. Nearly all games have crashed for somebody. So all the crashes someone I know had were MSAA related? Good to know.
Getting ignored by squeenix.Where were all these people when the masterpiece NieR was released? -_-

DOOM was a technical masterpiece, it crashed on me a few times.
I have been told that Square was "satisfied" with its performance. It didn't do well, but they seemingly had no expectations for it.The first game didn't even crack the Top 20 on its release month in NA

That is your prerogative. Know that it isn't true for most other people.Well, if a game can't even start because of crashes I sure won't consider it a good port.

So before even counting non-Japanese PS4 sales for the game, it's already over 500k. That's pretty sweet. They should have shipped over a million worldwide by now. Biggest Yoko Taro game by a landslide?
