To be fair, that sequence is god awful.

Oh, and the intro with the gerbil aliens was Attack of the Clones-level shit.

Oh, and the action was incredibly underwhelming, especially considering who's behind the camera.

Okay, but to be fair,

I still thought Beyond was alright, but it has some serious issues. I can totally see why it bombed.

This guy gets it.

Like I said before, they should just adapt Attack on Titan already. It has an obvious hook, is currently extremely popular worldwide, and all but one character is canonically white, so it would be hard for even Hollywood to screw up.

They would find a way to fuck it up, either way.

The easiest way to fuck up an Attack on Titan movie would be to adapt it straight, because the manga/anime is straight garbage. Running it through the Hollywood sausage factory might turn it into something worthwhile.

Slay lost all rights to comment on film after he said the original Star Wars trilogy wasn't good.

The titans look like stupid trash And should never be allowed to be pictured anywhere.

I won't say Star Wars is shit. IT's just massively overrated. Then again, I prefer the prequel trilogy to the original one. Except Attack of the Clones though.

Why are strippers at the U.N. bad when they're great at strip clubs???
Holy fucking shit, Ghost in the Shell really faceplanted.

I thought mid to high 20's was assured, damn.

Beauty and Turd got much more sales then it deserved. Meh , marketing really works i guess.

I wish luck to Power Rangers,GiTS and Kong before they pull from theaters.

ScarJo just ain't bankable anymore. In the past few movies I've seen of her she acts the exact same way, and that gets super tiresome. Why they think it's a good idea that she acts as herself in all her movies is bizarre but whatever, no one will learn anything from this lesson and the next anime adaptation will just star The Rock because he's funny and safe (in Hollywood's eyes).

So expect a live action Naruto with The Rock and Kevin Hart.

If there is any solace that can be taken for Bomba in the Shell, it won't be Paramount's biggest bomba for this year. Unlike Monster Trucks, Paramount didn't take a $115M loss writedown on GitS before the film had been even released, and then released the film during a dump month to implode as they expected. :v

By the by, surprising comeback for The Boss Baby in terms of reviews. It was at 28% on RT by Wednesday, compared to the 49% it has now. And speaking of which, the opening DOM was also $49M. What a coincidence.

"Have Jordan Peele direct X" is quickly becoming the new "Idris Elba should play X".

I just wouldn't want it to fail, and being able to market "The next movie from the person who brought you Get Out" would go a long way towards making that a reality.

In my defense my reaction was "ew Chris Pine"

Star Trek Beyond was more true to the tv Star Trek of the like of TNG than any single one of the TNG films though.

Beyond was the most pure Star Trek film we have gotten in what, 20+ years?

Beauty and Turd got much more sales then it deserved. Meh , marketing really works i guess.

More strong word of mouth and positive buzz than marketing is what is keeping it going. Beast was really really well received.
