I think the difference is that Drew was a successful indie wrestler before signing with WWE, it's just no one was paying attention to the British wrestling scene back then - comparatively, both Cody and Sandow were almost entirely in-house WWE, products of OVW. So while Drew knew exactly what he needed to do to make a splash outside of WWE, Cody & Sandow didn't have that experience. Also, they suck. Not so much Cody, but fuck Sandow. His level was never higher than comedy character.
