There's no auto health regen! http://www.polygon.com/features/2017/4/26/15428192/call-of-duty-wwii-impressions-analysis-preview

"Schofield won't talk about the health system yet, but auto-restoration is not happening. Reading between the lines, I gather that med-packs are the likely solution, perhaps even called for from medics, rather than just sitting around.

"You have to worry about every bullet," says Schofield. "You're not the superhero. You can't just stand there taking seven bullets, ducking, shooting again. It's refreshing for us to deal with recruits who aren't tier-one warriors, to show that vulnerability. They're naive. It's been a really cool challenge creating this different kind of gameplay."

Did anyone really think we were getting more than this today?

It happens every time, and not just with CoD. These reveals are press releases. They never give big details this early.

Trailer was sweet. I'm super glad that they didn't use techno music for the trailer.

Disappointed at the return of zombies though.
This is shaping up to beat the PS4 Pro/FFXV release date reveal as the worse announcement event.
Hahahaha! Not even. We got way more stuff at the FFXV reveal. This is nothing compared to that.

That's excellent news.

Wut.

They mentioned "horror" when referencing Nazi Zombies, so I wonder if they're actually going to slow the gameplay down and genuinely make it more survival-horror than batshit crazy? Or at least as much as they can with Call of Duty. That could be pretty damn cool.

Then again I could be reading too much into the wording, but that'd definitely be a way to make zombies feel fresh again.

The reveal was what I expected, so seemed fine with me.

E3 is the big show, so makes sense to reveal the biggest stuff there. Why show everything today, right?

They did all that for a fucking reveal trailer with no game play...

I said it yesterday, I KNEW they were going to show the MP in a separate MP reveal vid. Probably sometime in June or July.

Wow, that's actually surprising, but very welcomed.

I'll never understand the appeal of the Zombies mode or endless wave survival modes in CoD. I've never finished a Zombies mode cause after like 45mins I get sick of it and you can't even save your progress so it pretty pointless to me. Spec Ops from MW2 on the other hand is still one of the best co-op gaming experiences of my life.

Yes! Back to Call of Duty 1 in style.

Wasn't the greatest presentation but I like what I heard, the story should be interesting. Happy that they're focusing on historical accuracy. Visually the game looks pretty good.

Or is it just one of Phil's balls in my throat?
Trailer looks good, real interesting in seeing things like the Normandy landing rendered in current generation. Hopefully Pro version does checker board 4K @ 60 FPS like Infinite Warfare did.

zombies mode isn't really horror...so the Dead Space guy mentioning going back to horror makes me hope that its an actual campaign versus Zombie horde mode.

expectations are low though since its co-op

Well fuck, they actually might be changing it up more than just subtracting jetpacks.

Looking good I think, I can understand some being disappointed with only one theatre, and only playing as Americans, but it looks like they are trying to follow the 1st infantry division from the landing on D-Day, so if they can pull off the campign with good characters and and a memorable experience I think it's worth it.

Edit: also awesome that it doesn't have health regen.

The trailer looks amazing. I was a bit sceptical beforehand. But now, I'm all in. Just for that D-Day scene alone. That is where it all started all these years ago! Goosebumps alert.

For MP or campaign?

When he said it was a story about the Third Reich I got so excited that we would get a Nazi campaign. Disappointing, but everything else sounds good.
