Street Fighter V |OTVIII| New Delayed Generation - Controversial Inputs

I don't see what's so laughable. It's better than anything in the Snyder-verse so far.

Don't you guys think that it doesn't make sense for priority normals to not work in air-to-air situations?
Nah it does make sense, priority normals specifically exist to give characters better frame traps, that has no use in air to air and it would be silly with most air attacks being active for about 5 frames.

I don't either, but the net code is amazing, gameplay is fun, and I'm getting matches faster than I ever have in sf5 so when I sit down to play the game, I actually can play the game.

I feel like Capcom is just a victim of their negative critics right now. Announce a game too early, people bitch. Announce a game close to when it's to launch, apparently you're rushing the game.

Felt like an elseworlds episode of the justice league cartoon to me. There were so many character moments that just said, we understand this character. It was amazing to me as a fan of the comics and cartoons.

Hopefully Capcom and Marvel respect the characters this much in mvc, since they sure didn't in sf5.
If the beta is anything to go but by then match making will be great once we get the update, i was getting matches within less than a min of each other, but probably that was because of the number of people playing the beta.

Yah it's a decent effort, voice acting is pretty good too. I think Street fighter characters weird proportions did not work well in a story mode with mannerisms other then fighting movies... Everyone just looked like they were roided out...

Noted. lol

I hope so! :)

Might be due to population, but mine was fairly quick. Only one day felt like I had to wait more than two minutes, and even that wasn't too long before a match hit.

Waaaaaay better than fucking now where sometimes I'll be hitting five minutes over. But to SFV's credit, that hasn't happened in the past few days.

I still get fast matches regularly on this netcode, it's just the loading that takes long, however the new CFN will makes thing better for sure.

I didn't play much of the beta. Just going by the past year.

To be fair, it's not like that's a super high bar.

I agree, but that was the comparison :p

Ya right now it's not bad i still get matched up fast, but during the beta it was much faster. I didn't play Injustice 2 yet so i can't compare lol.

Man i want to get it :( but I'm not made of money to pay 130 cad just for one game lol plus i still have to beat Persona 5 and i want to get Tekken 7 (higher priority than I2) :p
I had the ultimate edition of IJ2 pre ordered from March.

Preordered the regular version of Tekken 7 in April, and now put in 30$ in my wallet for its season pass.

These 2 fighting games can honestly last me the year. Only other games I'm there day1 for is Yakuza games.

All other games, I wait for a sale.

Edit: And I pre ordered Nex Machina, but that games gonna be better than crack so I know I'm not gonna regret it.

I'm usually 6 months behind when it comes to games, which helps get things cheaper, but the first quarter of 2017 was crazy and many game i was looking forward were released so i still have Gravity Rush 2, Ni oh, The last guardian and Yakuza 0 sealed. I don't even know how i was thinking when i bought those games especially that I'm in the middle of writing my thesis so i barely have enough time to play :0.

I don't think Capcom can turn SFV around that will silence their critics in any meaningful way. Even if Injustice 2 is a garbage game I can't have fun playing, I'll admit it beats or equals SFV in just about every category but gameplay animations (I think SFV is more fun than any NRS game but gameplay superiority is no longer an easy argument for SFV to win). Even if SFV became what everyone wanted at launch it would still fall short of IJ2.

The good news is I think SFV can become a much better game for the people who still play it or want to play it. It just won't be the game people want in order to win internet arguments.

IJ2's story was better than a DC Movie, but it was actually worse than IJ1's story imo

I didn't like IJ2's story all that much. It has a really strong opening, but the ending soured the whole thing on me. The writers for it are too much of a
Batman fan to realize that Superman did have some excellent points
.

I haven't really played much SF5 after the first couple months, but I'm getting back into it now. I remember back then everyone hating on R. Mika for being annoying to fight. I know she's been nerfed since then, whats the general consensus on the character these days?

I feel like they failed to establish a
good dichotomy between the two near the end.

Like, if you picked
Superman in that scenario you would be doing it bc A)
Braniac is a dangerous motherfucker or B) Superman can restore the cities on his own time.. That Superman would proceed to establish his dictatorship and eliminate all opposition right then and there is...not what you would have thought in that moment? Although, true. Lol. Also in the time that he was establishing a connection with the Brainiac ship nobody could come up with a way to oppose him? Nobody had plans? It was all skipped in favour of "Superman is a dick and you helped him win, potentially for years,
ggs"

I really would love to hear your thoughts when you do get around to playing Yakuza 0. Feel free to pop in to the OT for that game anytime.

It's a fantastic game and is one of my top 5 games of all time. I absolutely adore that series and Yakuza 0 is like the crown jewel in a pile of sapphires.

Where the bloody hell is Ed ?
It's almost the 20th of the damn month

Patience. Everything will become clear in time. The arcade release is coming.

People are tired of waiting and there are soon a ton more fighting games on the market. The bar is set pretty high now, so Capcom better be bringing something BIG.

Going to disagree here. Prefer Snyder movies, but I can see how people would prefer IJ2.
Injustice 2 had a whole lot of nothing and felt like it had a tons of fillers just to cram in as much characters as possible lacking any merits.
Story mode would have probably benefitted more from an Xrd style hands off Story without Gameplay disrupting the flow and more cool looking choreographed fights.
Aside from that it's overall well done and I'm looking forward to what Tekken 7 is going to deliver.

Meh. None of them play like a Street Fighter game though and that's something that is in thier favour. Saying that, I do agree they need to hurry up with thier shit. Hope we learn about the CFN and next character very soon.

I just want the new CFN to drop. Mostly because of the improvements, but also because that's a huge thing out of the way. I'm sure most of their efforts have been laser focused on that. Get that shit right and we can talk about modes.

Though I enjoyed IJ2 story immensely, I cannot refute this.
Bat-Dick got too much love from the writers
...

It's been more than a year since the game was released in an abysmal state, and we are only now seeing major usability issues being addressed. Whoever is left in this thread have already demonstrated more than enough patience.

Unless they are keeping things to themselves about the new CFN, I hardly call it an improvement. Unless you are talking about the Friends and Blacklist.

I may have to download Peerblock to filter out countries. for 3 days straights it's been bad.

I'm a big Yakuza fan started then with the PS2 games and even played Kenzan and Ishin imported, but somehow i stopped after the beating the 4th one. I felt burnt after that one and the reaction on the 5th didn't encourage me to start, so i still didn't touch 5 on my ps3 and 0 sealed, probably i will get back to the series once my school work load lighten up since Yakuza is one of the games which i like to do all the side quests in and it's really time consuming.
