They are but fumarole enables that. The meta is able to deal with just the Gearhulks. The fumaroles accelerate the clock by a turn usually and more often than you think are the actual cards to close out the game.

yeah, but I don't count those as general deck strategies that they assign to the various colors in every block like blue counter control, white/red aggro, green ramp or black reanimator. Classic contol decks always feel so same-y to me
